All clones start off as embryos and are modified at that stage for age accelerated growth. Clones like Omega and Boba Fett are pure genetic replications. Meaning their DNA was unaltered so they grow like any normal being. As for the bad Batch they were just normal regs as embryos but i assume they were brought into that lab where Omega was so that their DNA could get altered for their enhanced traits they now have.
