yup was a weird turnaround from leak to official since typically is a few months after the leak if they don't say so at the end of the last ep

CharliX

The anime was renewed for season 2

Poor Arnold, poor Tino. This is one of my favorite light novels, the light novel is much better than the anime and it's hilarious.

Yeah sugoi lit reported it they have a perfect track record. Basically if they say it it's true just sometimes it takes months if not a year for the official one bur they are literally always right. I'm excited

ShadowCyberDemon

I'd wait for official news but according to a reliable source a cour 2 was confirmed in development. If true I could feel the salt leaving my body.

And if it helps, from the rest of the Grievers the worse one is not either of the sisters

Nah, she poisoned them. In the LN it is clearly stated this, only that Arnold was willing to negotiate at the time and just wasn't sure how they should justify giving away so much of the cash (note that he did not expect to earn even 10 million for that mask so 90 was a bonus for him), only for Sitri to say that this is simple then since she'd just sell him the antidote for the poison she gave them during their feast

that's not any better

OnePieceMan

I don't think Sitri poisoned them. She just manipulated them into thinking they were poisoned and the rest was just placebo effect. That didn't work on Arnold, but since it did for the rest of the team she just came up with an excuse that it didn't work because he's strong.

Man keeps saying he wanna retire but he keeps staying around to keep (both intentionally and also unintentionally) manipulating others to keep his cushy life going. Man is a crook and fits right in with his band of criminals.

I was trying to rationalize the math. Financially, he was already in debt to Sitri, then borrowed a billion more to buy the golem. If he gifts it to her, that doesn't settle the debt. And even if he surrenders it to her as collateral, that still doesn't settle his debt from before he borrowed the billion. But then I saw the line from Krei: "it has high sentimental value?" Which is the ultimate motivator for Krei to buy the golem. He hoped that the sentimental value of the golem was greater than his debt to Sitri. That's the only way this works, and even then you have to ignore the fact that Sitri could have (almost) bought the thing herself, so what even was Krei's role in the purchase? Finally, to be fair, I don't feel that bad for Arnold. This city is huge, and most people even get along with the Grievers. Arnold in his crew are outsiders and came in with a bad attitude at the beginning, planning to show the city what a real hunter is, without even understanding how things worked here. It's not relevant that the Grievers are scumbags, they didn't know that when they arrived, and made enemies of them by accident, but I think would have been intentionally anyways.

don't do this to me let him rest

Yeah, he is the one other members of the clan count on stoping his sisters when they go too far. Keep in mind that even with him around the party is still considered a soft mafia at times due to the actions of the Smart sisters and Luke.

Guy Palas

It's kinda nuts that Krai's trump card for the auction was using his own sister's savings and stealing from Arnold was exactly the amount taken from it. Also noticed that the full armored big guy of the grieves was named Ansem Smart, meaning he's the relative of Liz and Sitri.

alassandro

They did Arnold even dirtier than you think. Arnold's party had already used a good amount of money earlier celebrating the sale, and the auction place had also taken a cut of it. So by the end Arnold's comp really ended almost broke.
