The dipshit who embezzled funds spent the 12 million party funds to cover his gambling debt. Noel offered two million out of his personal funds to the Seekers to assist hunting down as party members. He separated from Walter momentarily to go to the slave trader and ask him to follow from behind. In doing so, he also asked for the initial down payment of a million fil in advance. This was why the other guy had to wait to be given the money, as Noelle didn't actually have it on him at the time.

After watching the first episode, I started reading the LN. I still can't decide how feel about the MC. A lot of what you say rings true, but, bottom line, to be a Seeker, and to make it as a Seeker, is not an easy road. And I think the relationships between Seekers are the hardest part.

Noel is kind of a rare edgelord because you can tell it hurts him to do what he did, despite it being necessary. And Walter is an idiot; Tanya wasn't in love with Noel enough to not betray him like that. And you had Lloyd on the brain because that's the name of Idiot McDipshit's embezzling ass.

Really Great Episode i have to note during the exchange between Noel and the Mad Clown even one of the henchman showed some uniqueness by looking to his counterpart like "Oh no boss is having another meltdown" look

I was not expecting this show to be so good. I have to keep watching this! I pray it doesn't fall off.

Didn't expect it to go the way it did, but I'm pleasantly surprised. I do fully expect to see all 3 of the party members return though. The Chad will likely end up joining the guild later on. The gambling addict and skank will probably show up as smalltime villains. The reactions I dig as well. It's very much implied that none of it was easy, but it is still the best way to handle the situation. If he had let those 2 ex members go they would've gone on to hurt/damage other people with their own toxic behaviour. If they were sent to prison, well they'd have likely died. So enslaving them is actually the best way to handle that both prevents them from causing more harm to others while at the same time they don't have to die either. And also good that the MC's scumbag attitude didn't come from nowhere. Even in the first episode his father said to him that he wasn't a good guy. It's clear that in the world that's presented, there's no way to make it to the top while being a goody two shoes all the way through.
