I was suspicious the moment the goddess summoned him in the less racist country years before the rest of the heroes were summoned. My theory is she intended for him to possibly grow powerful and do something about the Light church hence why he was given light magic which would naturally piss them off.

Well naming your party after the Goddess is the equivalent of giving The Church of Divine Light the middle finger. I wonder what kind of monstrosity this fake god Anat is.

Summoning heroes for conquest is already a thing, as seen in the online shopping anime (the one with a fenrir and a slime). The heroes and the mc were summoned for the kingdom's conquests, but the mc wasn't valued so he left. The heroes noticed the truth later on and ran away.

I vote for "Toilets for Nolyn". XD ... because!

Spider is fine once you know that everything Spider is past and everything classmate-human is current until they intersect in their story. ... With that in mind everything makes sense. ... It's just clarified way too late in novel and anime.

Tatami: let's call our party the harem king and his waifu Slaves WN Naofumi: are you trying to steal my party's name WN Satou: didn't you steal that name from my party Naofumi

I thoroughly enjoy this show. To the point that there's not much to say. It's evenly paced; every episode has a satisfying plot slice, and the story is genuinely interesting. Sure, there's not much action, but the characters have personalities, and there are few things for me to complain about, unlike other shows we're watching. Maybe it's all the other hot garbage that makes this show stand out, so I'm a bit conflicted about liking it so much. The flash-forwards remind me of Spider, but Spider was straight-up confusing, unlike this show. And I'm 12 volumes into Spider, and it's still confusing. I genuinely don't care about the other humans in Spider. I got mad whenever they cut away from the story to waste time on them. In this show, however, I'm rooting for the one girl and genuinely curious about what's going on there. I hate to say it, but I like this story's progression better than Spider's
