The bouncing red things are Squiggs. They're basically just mouths with legs. They're notoriously dangerous and will eat anything that they can overpower (and they'll try and eat things they can't overpower, too), so OF COURSE orcs keep them as pets and think they're awesome. An orc doesn't care if he loses a few goblin serfs every now and then, for the sake of having a large, pet squigg. He probably won't worry about losing a few of his fingers or limbs, either. Because squiggs are cool.
