Fun little thing that I like about this part of the game : one of the screams we hear in the prison, specifically the one we hear when Connor open his cell and that we hear again when we open Hickey's cell, is a stock sound effect scream that was apparently originally made for Silent Hill : Homecoming. It's also known in the horror game genre for being used in the game SCP : Containment Breach as SCP-096's scream, a scream that signifies your doom because, if you hear it, that means an unstoppable, invincible humanoid monster is coming to get you because you saw its face. While Containment Breach and AC3 were released the same year, I only played AC3 years later, after I had already played CB, so the first time I played through the prison part, I actually got chills down my spine and was fully expecting to die.

You'd think it was Achilles who cut the rope, but it wasn't him. It's never told in-game who did it, but they released a novel of AC3 and it's revealed who actually saved Connor. If you're curious it's Assassin's Creed Forsaken.

I dont wanna spoil who did it. cause its never been revealed in the games but someone you'd never expect at this point save connor from hanging it wasn't achilles. Thats all ill say.
