I think the lack of enjoyment is just because of our struggle, we aren't fluid with it yet but if we become fluid our opinion will likely shift. But for us non-expert gamers the struggle is real 😂

James kidd is the fictional son of the famous Pirate Captain William Kidd. Also if you didnt catch in the Sassau scene Edward teach(kenways friend) is becoming the infamous Captain Blackbeard now anyone who knows pirating should know at least that name Lol. Surpried you arent a fan of the naval combat, it takes a little bit getting use to but the combat is really fun to me.

Heavy shot has limited ammo its shown in the bottom right corner so remember to keep a eye on it and use it accurately lol

The canons on the bow/front of the ship are for targetting another ships sails its not very useful against forts and armored targets. Fire Barrels are the weapon in the rear of the ship if you look behind you you can release them and use the swivel guns to explode them

Tip #3 when you counter you can press Y and you can perform a counter combo with tools like rope dart or pistol. Also if you don’t know Edward is part ISU same as ezio and Desmond and Connor and Altair

The hired pirates are mercs as ken guessed they will fight your enemies for you so you can get closer to your target, The hired women will distract guards and lure them away from there location so you can sneak past

Beserk darts make the target go insane and they will fight anyone that approaches them until its effects cool down, its especially useful against the armored opponents like the axe wielders Youll notice that the sharpshooters are marked differently on your map they have a larger arrow and a crosshair in the center. They will almost always be up in the crows nest on ships or in the lookout towers, except for the few times they are on execution duty
