Idk if someone has mention this but in Japanese culture and in anime they say: “when you sneeze it means someone is talking about you somewhere”. Also dragon ball really can be a slog at times and the red ribbon army arc is quite that now that i think on it. I thought we go a dragonball per episode or a couple episode around certain dragonballs but as i kid idk how was able to handle the slog except for the good fights. Which makes me sad because toriyama loved adventure over fighting as much 😬(so i am told)

I so agree Ken Master Roshi can sometimes be cringe and uncomfortable but these guys were just pure evil. It was to showcase how disgusting the red ribbon army is and their beat down by Goku was one of the most satisfying beat downs. They were so gross!

While the Power Pole's never been broken, I'd say it's hard to say it's made of Katchin or Katchi Katchin (the strongest known metals in Dragon Ball) due to the pole's unusual ability to change length on command. If we're to compare the Power Pole to its inspiration, Sun Wukong's Ruyi Jingu Bang, then it's probably just made of some uber rare magical metal. Just spit balling though. Toriyama obviously had never put that much thought into it.

The plot armour is strong with Bulma, as a supporting character, she can outrun anything 😂 on a serious note, the two red ribbon guys in this episode are uber creepy but sadly on point since they are working for an evil organisation. This is probably going to be a controversial take but I think Roshis pervertedness is overlooked because he’s not outwardly evil and he’s a skilled martial artist, making him an indispensable, beloved character to many. Ofc this does not give him a thumbs up for him to do whatever he wants, in fact he does get his upcommance everytime he tries something on girls e.g Bulma punching his lights out lol.
