Bethany and Ken
Yeah with all the customizations everyone is telling us about I feel like as long as the play through is fun for us and the story is good the re-playability could be high for this game.
Bethany and Ken
Ah, got it. Thank you!
Bethany and Ken
Nice!

Did yall get a new camera or change settings? Maybe I just never noticed it but it looks like yall are recording yourselves in 60FPS now :O Also as others have said, Left side options are (i believe) always optional information. You can do as much of it as you like without ending the conversation. Right top is usually considered "paragon"/nice/good, right middle is generally neutral, right bottom is "renegade"/antagonistic/evil. But this is an old Bioware game, so choices do matter, and sometimes the best outcome doesn't come from picking the "good" option :)

Also, small little thing I always like to bring up, Captain Anderson is voiced by our beloved Keith David.

Another tip about charm and intimidate that isn't explicitly said, while it is very important to invest points into the skill to unlock those dialogue options, you also need to have certain levels of Paragon for charm, and renegade for intimidate. You can see your paragon and renegade levels on Shepard's portrait, they are the blue and red bar around their head. You gain Paragon and Renegade points based on decisions made during missions and dialogues, you know if a choice has given you these points as it will say Paragon or Renegade at the bottom right, like other items you pick up. Typically saying nice things gives Paragon points and being an ass gives Renegade points. But because of this, I feel it is a little punishing if you try to stay more neutral because you aren't gaining those Paragon or Renegade points.

Just remember, left side will always explore the current dialogue, and right side moves the dialogue forward. They do have tone differences with paragon ("good/positive/friendly"), neutral and renegade ("bad/negative/aggressive") No choice specifically matters as what you want to say is your choice. Though there can be consequences, good and bad, depending what you choose.

The fact you don't even know Mark Meer's name shows quite a bit of bias.
Knight Spearhead
Remember to do "investigate" before clicking the options to continue investigate will give you more lore
Knight Spearhead
Though you can play the game in any order the proper playthrough to get all the content is, Eden Prime (Prologue), Citadel (main hub), Therum, Noveria, Feros, and finally Virmire. There are side quests on the citadel and every mission be sure to talk to your crew as your affinity matters That big glowing power core in the center of the ship at the start is part of the mass effect relay and all of them are connected to each other throuughout the milky way.
Knight Spearhead
Should def get to it if your into sci-fi one of my favorites of all time
Blake Mitchell
Don't forget you can listen to the lore as you play in the Codex.

Should have gone with the male Shep, but I forgive you. Was this a live stream? I didn't see any notification on the discord.
Knight Spearhead
Mass effect is one of my favorite series glad to see you guys getting to it

Now this is a blast from the past, even after platinuming the game (both prior 3 games and the entire legendary edition) I only now realize that I never once played either of the canon shepards xD BTW don't forget: there is a codex in the pause menu that holds a bunch of intresting lore, some of the major ones are even voiced.
Jennifer Sunderland
You went with Femshep. This was the correct choice. Jennifer Hale IS Commander Shepard. Male Shep did have a bit of a disadvantage, though. He recorded all of his dialogue first, before the other actors. So he was told to do a kind of neutral tone for it all. And a lot of his dialogue feels kind of stilted. Jennifer Hale got to come in at the end, and she recorded all of her lines after the others, so she got to listen to the other actor's voice lines and act in response. So her performance was certain to be better. But she's also Jennifer Hale, so she was probably going to be better by default. If you choose to enter new ID, you can customize Shepard's appearance. The character creation is actually pretty deep for a game from this era. And your appearance would carry over into future games as well. Default Shepard is...kinda uncanny looking.

Just a tip, dont forget to invest into your social skills like charm - its required to pass certain conversation checks

Biotics are fun
Mosh Mia
I usually go spaceborn but earthborn is cool too
Mosh Mia
My preference is creating my own character and going for vanguard as opposed to soldier

YEEAAAAHHH! So glad you guys are staring this! It’s up there as one of my favorites with Persona! And I’m glad you went with Femshep! Jennifer hale might be the best VA in that series. Some tips: Put some levels into charm (or intimidation if you want to play that way) . Putting more levels will unlock more dialogue options that may either completely change the outcome, or allow you to bypass having to spend more time convincing them if you weren’t as skilled. There’s a codex in the pause menu. None of it is necessary information, you’ll be told that. But it contains a lot of information about other races and human history in this world that you may find interesting. It’s part of why, I love this series. Bethany hit it on the head, they thought about EVERYTHING. To how guns use mass effect to do more damage, to why ships are named what they are, to how each culture’s believes and values are shaped. I love it The top option on the right side of the dialogue wheel is always going to be the positive/nice thing to say, with middle being neutral and the bottom being aggressive/straightforward.

Would love to join ya'll on this one but I just haven't gotten to it yet 🥲
