The manga is a fun story. It was originally created as an online webcomic by a guy who went by One, except he’s not a great artist. So it was remade by a professional manga artist who got his version to be officially published. Now the two versions run simultaneously.

You guys are in for a wild ride with OPM I know you'll love it! I know you guys probably decide new shows by putting them up on polls, but if you ever get the chance Yu Yu Hakusho would 100% be up your alley and I guarantee you would like it. Just for your future consideration, It's a classic like DBZ.

A follow up notice for DND about these OVAs: They aren't included on any streaming service, so you'll have to either buy the disc or buy them digitally if you're looking to access 'em. I would also recommend watching them after you've two have finished each season.

Ah, the first OPM intro, truly a modern classic. Such a simple song yet one that's still one of the most hype and empowering in (somewhat) recent memory.

I'm rather surprised you two didn't make any remarks about how Vaccine Man kinda looks like Piccolo bc that's usually everyone's first thought lol. The dub even takes the likeness further by having him be voiced by Piccolo's VA (Chris Sabat). Though funnily enough his Japanese VA is Ryusei Nakao, who is Frieza's JP VA. Guess they figured Nakao's voice is much more fitting for a villain.

Well, isn’t this nostalgic? Haven’t watched anyone react to OPM in damn near a decade. Guess I’ll take this excuse to finally catch up with season 2. Only kept up with the manga for anything past season 1.
