And this episode reveals the double-meaning in the Japanese title of the series. 葬送のフリーレン - Sousou no Frieren - there's a couple ways to read "葬送"/"sousou". With the first episode, it looked like the intended meaning translates to "Frieren at the Funeral". However, another way of reading the kanji resolves to something along the lines of "Frieren the Slayer". To go into detail: The Japanese characters 葬 (sō; lit. 'funeral' or 'bury') and 送 (sō; lit. 'to send' or 'escort' or 'to see someone off') read together as 'attending a funeral', but can also be read in kun'yomi; 葬 (hōmuru; lit. 'to bury' or 'to consign to oblivion') and 送 (okuru; lit. 'to send' or 'to dispatch' or 'to take (somebody somewhere)'), together with のフリーレン (no Furiren), as 'Frieren the Slayer'. Think something along the lines of "Frieren sends them to their funerals."
