Personally im not entirely sure. You don't need to book 100 nights a year to keep the status, but you need to be someone of importance, mainly big CEO's or people of influence that the CEO of Marriott would want to shmooze for the most part. I wouldn't say its impossible for someone like Austin to get it, but its definitely something he'd have to really try and get.
