My first period was Easter Sunday when I was 10 years old. I bled ALL OVER MY MATTRESS and clothes and it looked like brown/black goo. It was traumatizing and I thought I was dying. Black tar is a good description in my opinion bc if you have clots or a heavy flow, it looks SOOOO dark bc of the concentration. QT is an expert (bc she's a woman and she's smart and if you don't bleed out your cooter you just don't get it)
