I’ll be honest I don’t love the set, it looks fine of course, but it doesn’t really feel particularly fear & to me. I personally feel like the pod should lean into the haphazard way it was created and just be the neurotic, chaotic, lively podcast that it is. It’s the group of people who get thrown together for a group project and end up getting nothing done. It’s the back porch at a house party where the anxious people end up to get away from the noise (and will neff is there because he wants to hang out with his friends even if they’re outside of where the action is). You guys have ended up friends but you’ve been thrown together because of the nature of your jobs and I think that’s at the core of fear &. It’s a neurotic and chaos filled podcast full of neurotic and chaos filled people. The “guys QT hates us she doesn’t even want to be here” “I don’t! I don’t want to be here!” “D:”. The “what can we talk about?” “One time I had to beat a fox to death with a rock in the afternoon sun” “D:”. The “you’ve embarrassed the friend group by being slutted out to other podcasts” “we’re a friend group???” “D:”. Those kind of moments are what I personally love about the pod. Idk this is all just me rambling but I do love the haphazardness of the pod and I don’t think it needs to be strictly themed or have a big set only because that’s what other podcasts do. But of course the members know best and I’ll be happy to follow it forever no matter what path it ever takes (as long as QT is there)
