a single place/source for information is a super controversial topic. it would be nice if people could have that space for discourse, but overtime all those platforms will have a flooding of 'trolls' and 'fake actors' that makes it unsustainable. Having lots of options and Biases is also tough, I don't think it's a matter of having a platform like that, but just that people lack media literacy and have such strong beliefs that obscure the ability to empathetic and the shield of the internet allows them to say whatever they want without thinking about it first.
