I will say *CERTAIN* dogs have more of a smell than others. I think it has something to do w the oil production. My friend who has a silky yorkie bathes it WEEKLY and it still smells like ass. Whereas other ppls dogs can go weeks without them smelling

As a dog person with one of the best behaved dogs in the world, I would NEVER be offended by someone saying I couldn’t bring him. Especially over night, and especially if they had cats. Puppies are a whole different issue, because so many aren’t well trained and dog piss destroys rugs and floors (my older dog had bladder control issues towards the end and we had to throw away all of our rugs after she passed), and so many puppies don’t respect other animals including dogs. My dog is so calm but if another dog gets in his face even he sometimes gets stressed out or angry, and puppies do that to every animal. This is one of hasan’s worst takes

It’s not just a dog, it’s a puppy. Way more excitable, less trained, may get overwhelmed by the choas around a bunch or strangers and unknown pets. I’m not a cat or dog person, if anything I’d be a rabbit person lol. Those were just the tiktok comments, the patreon ones explained the reasoning better. Also as an unbiased 3rd party that owns neither, dogs smell worse. Btw Harry is currently 5th in the line of succession for the throne behind his elder brother William and William’s 3 children. Nah when I go to a room they aren't allowed in or when I leave the house I can def tell if it stinks when I come back. I also use deodorizing laundry detergent & odoban for our blankets & stuff. We have couch covers that we wash periodically. We wash the floors with odoban weekly

My friend is crazy abt cleaning her apartment but it always smells like cats, she has 2. I suffer from executive dysfunction & I have 3 dogs. As long as I spray the furniture with a fabric disinfectant it smells fine. However, I do wash my dogs weekly. They sleep in the bed so it's a must. I'm sensitive to smells so I knowww when it stinks. Cats aren't as "self cleaning" as ppl say. I've seen cats get a rare bath & it's pretty gross

That's wild to me haha. Society is so built around dog culture that people very often misunderstand cat behavior because they are seeing them though dog colored glasses. I think that's a contributing factor in how acceptable anti cat sentiment is comparatively to anti dog sentiment. And I'm not saying there's not a lot of people who hate dogs, but they are a lot more quiet about it than those who hate cats in my experience haha.

100% a house with a cat CAN smell more than a house with a dog, because it's all about how clean the owner is. If you lift up and sniff a dog, they will smell worse than lifting and smelling a cat like 99% of the time. (Cats only stink when they are messy, like kittens who don't groom well yet or a cat who is sick and not grooming)

I've owned both, the debate is really about how clean their owners are. Dogs smell more than cats but the average dog is doing their business outside versus a cat who is doing their business inside.
