🕑 Added 2023-08-29 15:06:32 +0000 UTCI know you're not here to listen to my bs so I'll keep it short. Three weeks ago, when I learned that FaeAU DLC was spread around on a pirate site, it really got to me, because I am not a huge studio that makes tons of cash off my games, and the 5usd it is priced at is a lot to me, especially currently. These past months I had to spend a lot of money on my family situation. Earlier I blew my savings entirely due to unexpected taxes, so this month I had to focus on taking more commissions, and it left me with scant time and energy to write and draw for my own projects. I guess such a small thing made me spiral so badly, I started to wonder if I should give up on trying to be a developer and just get back to working a normal job full-time. It was very disheartening to be honest, though I am sure it happens to many indie developers, it was a first for me. And for the first time, I couldn't bring myself to write much at all for a long time.
I hoped I could figure everything out on my own, without talking about it, but it seems I can't. I am slowly starting to get back on my feet, thinking of a better solution, I don't know. I can say for sure that any future extra content will be exclusive to Patreon. I love writing and I love creating games and I am willing to try and try and try again. So, thank you for sticking with me, I really appreciate it. ❤️
Now, onto the progress:
- FMO is updated, Lotar's branch and a bit of Malitiose and Saltire's branch,
- FMO #POV 2/5 is written, Mirren's this time.
- PFM - Laurent's route updated, not as much as I wanted, but it's here.
📌 A repeated note for the new patrons:
- if you're looking for extra scenes and spice, and haven't checked the extended version of the Perfumare demo [VN] yet, please do so,
- some extras (interactive) are bundled up and can be accessed from the same file. Some, though, are posted separately, so please make sure to browse through all the posts,
- partial updates of routes are often replaced, so you only need to download the newest file to have all the previous updates (i.e. when route 3 of 3 is posted, all previous updates/routes are included).
📌The Guide is updated chapter-by-chapter. You only need to download the latest file.
📌I am periodically deleting old/obsolete partial builds/versions of games that have the full version out. I will leave the posts here since they have some info and comments included, but just so you know to not be surprised by a deleted file.

You're right, though my anxiety often keeps me from speaking up. I am trying to work on it more nowadays, and indeed it does feel better to be more open. I don’t really feel much anger towards the people who pirate games, as I understand many can’t afford to purchase stuff, especially now, but the people who put apps and games on pirate sites are... ugh. Still, I never want to stop creating games, and I hope I’ll be able to continue publishing, even more regularly and intensely! It means everything to me that there are people who wait for updates and extras. Thank you SO much for being so kind and cheering me on, I really appreciate it! 🥺🥰

Thank you for being so sweet! And I am glad I did speak up. I do have a bad habit of bottling everything up that I am trying to unlearn haha. I'll try to be more open from now on. 😘

I'm so sorry that one of your works got pirated. We all know that you put in a lot of heart and hard work into every piece of writing and art, so it's understandable that you would consider quitting. However, I'm glad that you're feeling better after speaking out about this and that you're writing again. ❤️❤️❤️

(I don't think I really have a say in these matters because I am simply an outside party, however) I personally believe that you should speak out about stuff like this (as long as you're comfortable with it) because, and as cliché as it may sound, you're really not alone on this y'know? you don't have to shoulder everything on your own ^^ especially when you have a big community that knows about these pirate websites and have experienced similar or same situations. Sometimes, a second voice can really help work through the aftermath too? possibly helping to sort of ease the voices at the back of your head. And although I may not be able to fully comprehend how it feels to have your work pirated like this, we're happy to have you back; you're so strong pushing through like this 😭 The last thing any of us wants is for you to stop doing the things you love! I also wanted to add that, and even though this goes without saying, no one in the IF community or any community writes or creates like you do ✨✨ one of a kind, if you will 🥳 we want you to be happy but we also don't want to lose you 🫠🫂
