Im going to get a lot of hate for this, but the way Will feels about Japan, is the way I feel when I go to Dubai. It's the place that has felt like home the most to me. Let me start with stating the obvious. It's abhorrent the way so many people are basically slaves in the Middle East. It's absolutely repulsive. However, it's not the opulence or the gaudy lifestyle that appeals to me. It's the existence of a Muslim majority country with all that entails, Halal food, abundant Mosques, without dealing with the openly extreme fundamentalism, and lack of safety that other Muslim majority countries have. I've lived my life in the US, and Pakistan. Dubai was the first place I went to that has the modern amenities and safety that the US has as well as the cultural benefits that I was looking for.
