🕑 Added 2024-06-16 15:31:53 +0000 UTCA viera commission and pregnant one at that, something I hadnt done since 2020. It was one of those things that just became awkward as more and more time passed without me doing it, to the point I started feeling very doubtful about whether I could pull it off again. But over time and especially recently Ive been getting a few requests for pregnancy stuff and I finally got the courage to go for it with this one. Hopefully this will open the doors for a few more in the near future.
Anyway, I always like to approach pregnancy stuff in a wholesome way and this was no exception. I wanted it to have some nudity but still but very "tame", and sheer clothes always do that job perfectly. Plus the combination of body language and expression of course. The character itself works so well for this too, I really like her colors (always been a big fan of dark skin + white hair) and the glasses just add to the charm and motherly look.
Then you have the usual skin details with the freckles, veins and I also thought Id add some stretch marks along the belly and such. Its funny how those kinds of "imperfections" make the character so much more attractive, probably because it adds to the natural and realistic look, making them a lot more believable.
When it comes to the background and lighting It took me a while to arrive at something I was happy with, but you just cant go wrong with the dreamy pink look, especially because she has light purple eyes so the whole thing just comes together nicely. And yeah, it always looks so soft I never get tired of doing these.
Anyway I guess pregnancy is back on the menu, lol. Its super rare to see people do it in a tasteful so its something where I feel I can really contribute in a unique way, especially for those with similar taste as me.
Other than that, still working on a bunch more commissions but things are starting to get really busy now with lots going on at the same time (especially with Star Rail 2.3 coming out on wednesday with Firefly, and of course, Dawntrail at the end of the month) so thats probably gonna slow me down a bunch, but then I imagine everyones gonna be busy playing FFXIV at the start of July anyway, lol. Ill just try my best to keep things going meanwhile, still got a lot of stuff I wanna do and people I wanna get to with commissions.

Yeah I hope to do a few more in the near future since I had more requests for it as I said in the post and some people are on the same boat as you where they have been wanting to see more of it for a long time. Ive always enjoyed doing it myself and obviously a lot of people also seem to like it so its a win win really.

I have found some wholesome preg art - highly enjoy Vanabette's stuff, for example - but it's usually anime styled or otherwise somewhat chibified. Your style really fills a wonderful niche in this.

Yeah I know its super rare to find tasteful pregnancy art, everyone just fetishizes the hell out of it. Plus its a very divisive thing to begin with, so a lot of artists dont even do it. Works out in my favor I guess, lol if you like this kind of thing then its pretty hard to find it anywhere else. And as I said in my post Ive been getting a few more requests for it so you can count on seeing more here and there.

Your pregnancy work is among my favourite, one of the things that led me to your work in the first place. It's good to see it back. The way you approach the subject with sensitivity and realism makes it all the better. The way you draw bodies and compose scenes is just perfect for this subject.

Oh my God yes! Loved your pregnancy stuff back in the day, so glad to see it back. I haven't found another artist who draws soft, wholesome preg like you do and it's been something missing for a long time. Love the way the belly is draped here, just like the babydoll lingerie you used to draw a lot of the preg art with.
