He opens his mouth to reassure her, but before he can the door to the bedroom opens up and Emerald steps out, yawning and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. Cole enjoys the view for a second before ending his call with Amber with a simple ‘I’ll be in touch’. Then, he gives Emerald a wicked grin.
“Coffee?”
Groaning, the secretary walks over while stretching.
“You’re a life saver… on top of being a fucking bastard. Man, I’ve never been this sore before. We really went at it, didn’t we?”
Cole hums and nods as he watches Emerald prepare the cup of coffee. Honestly… even though she just woke up, she’s being a little too nonchalant about it all. Now that he’s really looking for it, he thinks he can tell she’s hiding things from him. Heh, or maybe he’s just paranoid now that he KNOWS she hid at least one thing from him.
Fall isn’t here now, or else Amber would have told him. The question became whether she would come back or not. If she did, he could think of some fun things to do. But maybe he should be the bigger man here…

I'm betting they will be doing something like a switcheroo using Emerald's Semblance to try to disguise it, though that will likely require waiting out of sight to swap during a break. It is a Semblance that has shown you can fool even touch with it, tho that apparently requires concentration or Emerald not moving? IDK I'm no expert. I just think it'd be funny for them to switch, only for Cole to "catch on" because he fucks Cinder super hard and/or bent over and leaning against Emerald.
