I would put Shield on the back burner for now as there really not that important, so keep playing the naive kid that only thinks about sex and if it just so happens that shield keeps sensing other female agents his way, hey what else is Thad to do?

SHIELD threat level: negligible. However, they are the government making an enemy of them would bring more annoyances than anything. If we leave them alone we might give them just enough rope for them to leash themselves and put themselves in a position where they need him or can't afford to offend him. If we shut them down now they're just going to keep coming back with new tactics.

I voted for Option #1 SHIELD still being less than certain that Thad's anything but a sex-hungry jock that can be controlled by his dick - hence the initial reason for deploying Melinda "The Cavalry" May as extra eyes on the ground to verify Natasha's reports on Thad post-Hellfire Gala - means that as long as Natasha's kept in the loop about what Thad is doing on campus or any contact with "Professor Shu Wong"? I think treating them as a nuisance that can be worked around. That being said...it would be very useful for May to get brought into the fold, though I'm struggling to think of what "in" could Thad & Co. provide May to split or even shift her loyalties. If this Melinda May is anything like her AoS counterpart, there's really only two things she could be given to make her switch sides: a final resolution to her guilt over what happened in Bahrain (when she had to kill an Inhuman child with powerful mind control abilities to stop their threat), or resurrecting Coulson without Project TAHITI if the Battle of New York were to happen and Loki kills him. Personally? Since this Marvel universe is closer to the comics version of the 616 than the MCU, I'd help May properly process what she had to do in Bahrain, since the whole "unknown Inhuman child getting activated far too young, goes on rampage, needs to be neutralized for public safety" angle still allows for comicsverse Inhumans to be involved. But it looks like dealing with SHIELD ASAP is winning out in the vote, so unless SHIELD is going from a HYDRA skinsuit to a Hellfire Club one, my musings are a bit pointless once the will of the mob finishes speaking 😉
