Let's not forget that this is the first time her status has ever been fundamentally in question. No matter how much of a dick he was, Zeus guaranteed her the spot as "queen". Now she is... kinda nothing. Especially so since her oh so harmless sister has proved herself as anything but harmless.

haha holy crap I forgot to add Chapter 80 and 81 to the Collection when I posted them both up the last two weeks and I guess you were the first one to notice. Fixed now xD

Even then Hera's strategy of "harassing Zeus long enough to get permission to make the girl's life a living hell" is her general approach in myth

Hera does not strike me as the retreat and think things over carefully type. She’s the queen of the gods and “just double down” has been her go-to for every problem except Zeus for longer than we can comprehend.
