Let's just agree that it probably has and the crew underestimated it for some reason- maybe that's what Abe is checking in panel 3 here? An air purifier he thinks is faulty? What I mean to say is: the comic is going to feature some fucking and I don't have a novel's worth of space for scifi dialogue in it.

So I went back and skimmed through the rest of the comic and didn't see any more 'hidden' anatomy in the background.

I particularly like how phallic their ship is, and how vaginally whatever that is in the background of panel 1. I admit that I completely missed the air-lock(?) vag the first time around, which presumably leads /deeper/ into the station... perhaps for cargo transports such as the Ad Astra to deposit their heviest loads.
