He is persistent though, so even with their insane laughter and bickering he would have got his own thoughts through in the end. For the audience it is nice for once to not always have Gervais laughing and interrupting (and his laugh is almost so montone now it could be a standard laugh-track to any stupid sitcom and make it a winner)

Only only one screening scared the shit out of me. My ex-wife (Lithuanian) her grand-father was an ex-KGB officer and after I had proposed i found myself sitting on his bed (very old guy) with my ex-wifes daughter translating. The questitioning was great though and very heartfelt, but his voice - wow, you could hear he had been in charge in old Soviet =D So scary. But the girl, about 14 at the time, just laughed and translated between us and finally I got this big hug from that old legend that almost choked me and I was accepted. I passed =D But I would never accept anything like that again. If relatives do not agree, than I say it is just between two people who decide if "we two" are the important ones in the relationship or our whole sick family-history

My daughter and son-in-law got married 16 years ago on a gulet in Turkey. They gave everyone who wanted to attend 18 months notice. They had lived together for five years, and 40 people attended. Everyone treated it as their summer holiday and stayed on after the wedding. We had an amazing time.

I get the importance of making a commitment, making vows to the person you love. I just don’t like the costs that are involved nowadays. I used to work in a florists and as soon as the order was for a wedding (or funeral) the costs per stem sky rocketed. I think people are taken advantage of at some of the most important and emotional times of their lives. I don’t fancy a laundromat wedding but I get what Karl is saying about the simplicity being the important part ☺️

No worries friend. We do have it posted as the pinned post and in the about section, but Patreon is not laid out the best. We've always alternated shows after a series ends. For example. Our Sunday slot started with An Idiot Abroad series 1. Once that finished we alternated to The Inbetweeners series 1, then back to An Idiot Abroad for series 2, then back to The Inbetweeners for series 2. We do this until a show ends, then we vote on what will replace it. Right now our Sunday slot has Peep Show and The Moaning of Life rotating with each other. The Moaning of Life S1 has 5 episodes, so Peep Show will return Oct 19th for S2. Hope this helps to make sense of things.

I really wish I could get behind the idea of marriage for myself. I love it for others, and used to want to get married. But as someone who's survived numerous abusive relationships and engagements and the statistics of people being murdered or nearly murdered by their husband or wife, who they thought they knew, completely puts me off. The idea of not being able to completely run away from someone stresses me out. But I do love seeing other people in love.

I was friends with a Sikh girl I worked with. I remember her crying when she found out she was going to have an arranged marriage, so we drank some gin and talked it out. Anyway, she went through with it, fell in love with the guy and by all accounts (from what I know) they've been happily married for over 10 years and have kids. So, I guess it can work.

One thing in paticular that I love your reactions is not only are you both genuine and likeable people, but the love you have in your marriage really shines through in your interactions with each other. I might actually enjoy this series more than Idiot Abroad. Even though I love Idiot Abroad, it started to get uncomfortable the more Steve and Ricky put Karl through shit. Felt like a practical joke that went a little too far. Moaning of Life allows Karl to be himself, without him getting too miserable.
