There’s a good argument that it’s the best thing to come out of the Gervais media empire. I am so hyped this is being reacted to and excited to see what you’ll make of each episode. We all need to be strict on this one re spoilers but it might be worth doing a cursory Wikipedia on Ross Kemp and Vinnie Jones who feature in the next episode to get a reasonable enough context of episode 2

Its such a brilliant premise, getting the rich and famous to portray themselves as complete fruit loops, but behind it all, there is a really touching story, of friendship between Andy and Maggie. I guarantee you there will be tears on the final feature length Christmas Special.

A good tip for finding your cat, go out rly late at night like 2 am with some treats and do concentric circles outward from your home. They tend to stick close but may be too scared to come out in the day. Good luck guys, losing a cat is the terrible.

Yeah Stephen has an emotional intelligence that Ricky clearly lacks. Both the Extras and Office do the "make you laugh, then make you cry" thing very well. Ricky tries to do the same thing with solo projects like Derek and After Life and it comes off ham-fisted, melodramatic, and clumsy.

Hope Presley makes it home safe mate. As a cat man too, I feel your pain. Re the show...As a past extra myself (with appearances in most movies and TV shows - including the original Harry Potter films) I can tell you both that this is honestly exactly how it is on set. Probably one of the most realistic representations ever...and its a classic show. I had a mate who was lucky enough to be an extra in this - I'm still jealous to this day!! Lol

Don't expect the person in the title to be in the episodes throughout as much ben Stiiler was in this. There's a couple of blink and you'll miss them ones. FYI 'Ross Kemp' in ep2 was an actor in the massive UK soap opera 'Eastenders' in which he played an unlikeable tough guy car mechanic.

Firstly guys, sorry to hear about your cat - hopefully she's found safe and sound soon. Appreciate that you guys swap shows on a rotation at the end of each series and so OFAH and Still Game aren't present this week and I love Extras so happy to be seeing it come in as well. Only thing I'd say though is that in the case of both of OFAH and Still Game, the Christmas special episodes are often considered as the last episode of each series rather than sort of stand alone episodes so I'd always include any Xmas specials between the end of one series and the start of the next as the final piece of that series you've been reacting to and include them in the lineup before rotating towards another show :)

There’s some ambiguity about which is the first episode. This is the first broadcast in the USA, but I believe it’s the third in the UK originally, but for US audiences it made sense to start with Stiller, and to be fair it doesn’t affect the storyline much if at all. When I first watched I think this was listed as episode 1 as well
