A/N: Vader makes a decision. Asajj makes a friend.
EDIT: Decided to make a change regarding Sev’rance Tann’s race. Canonically she’s Chiss, but the fanfic that made me want to include her in the first place made her Pantoran. Since we’ll already have a Pantoran, I’m making it more ambiguous and making it so Asajj doesn’t know Tann’s species instead of her just thinking she’s Pantoran.

At least start with his own senses. If he find nothing but hints at something still hidden, then he can take the risk and tap into the nexus.

Definitely go with his own senses first. The nexus will still be there if that doesn't pan out.

He was a crispy critter parapalegic on life support for over twenty years the last time he went swinging in dick first without at least some measure of caution. Besides, even if he could beat Palps handily if he gives the old fucker any warning before Vader is ready, then his rival Sith could cause a fuckton of damage. Besides I trust Vader's power being able to get at least SOMETHING, some inkling of the truth now that he's looking for it.

I voted against Vaderkin using the Dark Side Nexus, if only to avoid warning Palpatine or especially Yoda about what he's doing in the Temple re: investigating for any Fallen knights or masters. Because Yoda especially should be aware of the nexus and probably checks in on it occasionally ...Vader doesn't need to be caught with his hand in the cookie jar due to bad timing. Plus...am I the only thinking that his mental monologue about how he feels about Padmé's gift, and his comments to her, are signs that Anakin isn't completely gone...and that this Padmé being darker and more prone to cruelty is going to be an issue down the road?
