I don't agree with that in the workplace
Smiffy
Just spent 20 minutes fiddling with my speakers, then read the comments! :)

The Muppet Show is where it came from -)

pretty sure the opening is BN BN McVitie's BN Chocolate Flavour Biscuits
James Thompson
Yo this upload is crushed. Fix it you pair of wankers!
The Snow Dog
Great video! though it seems at about 28 minutes into the video the audio quality drops a bit
Darren Seymour
The Intro was from The Muppets. David even said 'The Muppets' before it cut to the credits.
david mitchell
I remember the intro from the muppets when I was a kid
Tass
I'm pretty sure that tune at the start you thought was from Dr pepper was originally from the muppet show.
Thomas Wilkinson
You guys are so cute!
emu cat
don't remember anyone giving a flying one about Tim & Dawn, or when we became so conservative and moralising over the conduct of the characters, or maybe I was too high during this period.
bearfacecat
Hi guys, just a note to Jess please don't put two fingers up that way round to a British audience, it mean F OFF 😂
Fordy7169
Hey Mike and Jess, how about a music reaction to David Brent & Foregone Conclusion's 'Life On The Road' full album after you've watched The ' Life On The Road' movie? The song lyrics are a piece of work.
Nathan Davey
Great intro and reaction, shame about the sound.
Fordy7169
Before their time.
Fordy7169
Probably could get the BBC World Service on those hats. You'd be bored shitless but hey ho
Jason Bonner
The reason the Muppet version of the “Mah Na Mah Na” song is more familiar in the UK than the US is because when Jim Henson couldn’t get The Muppet Show commissioned in America, ITV in the UK picked it up. Due to shorter commercial breaks in the UK compared to the US, UK producers had to add approximately four extra minutes of content per episode. As a result, additional musical numbers like “Mah Na Mah Na” were included to fill the time and satisfy British broadcasters’ scheduling requirements.
AngieG
I know it from "The puppet show" 😂 https://youtu.be/TbZ_hTEOKZc?feature=shared
Jazz Chilli
This is exactly what i want to say whenever someone say the US Office is better....it's not imo but it's also impossible to compare them because to me the US Office is just a sitcom without a laughter track.
New Fish
What an entertaining Boss David Brent is. Makes a dull job fun. Hilarious. You should watch the Extras Series he did as well. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are great writers.
Megatron
Na, fair play to Gareth for being honest about his 'mate' in the wheelchair. At least it shows he treats people equally and doesn't pander to someone just because they're disabled.
Fordy7169
Luckily I was in Infant and Primary school during the 1970's and got a small bottle of full-fat every day. Loved a cold milk on a warm day.
Jay Lo
Those antennas are the sound issue 😂
Dylan Mc
You guys need to react to this country on bbc it’s so funny and you would love it I know for sure it’s a tv series similar to some of the characters in the office uk
Sigma
That song was popularised by The Muppets, but it was originally from the soundtrack of a Swedish movie from 1968: - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTKs0-UPguA

Audio awful
Right Said Brett
Um, the opening tune they were humming was originally from The Muppets. Ya know, the iconic American television show... where you live? :P
Ash C
Oh great idea. This would be Patreon merch that would actually sell. I’m in
Ash C
oOoOo Hat FM friends, novelty headwear friends. Think you were picking up BBC radio there with those antennas 🤣 classic episode and reaction
Mark E
You will like the outtakes of this 🤣
Mark E
Yes guys 🤣

BNBN da di di did do! BNBN da did di do! BNBN da di di did do! BNBN da did di do! its crazy how powerful advert/commercial themes tunes can be when you are young , that theme song / melody only means one thing to me and that's the biscuit BN's , even though its from the Muppets officially , that's permanently linked to them for me hehe
TheHigh
love the outfits!
Frank Mac
Anyone else notice lots of crackling on the audio? Maybe HAT FM is not tuned in correctly 😉
Rob Brown
I grew up with The Muppets and Sesame Street!
Rob Brown
Amazing outfits, love it
Daniel Cooper-O'Reilly
WHERE THE HELL IS MY HAT?!!!!!
Tez
Thought it was just me...
M9tthew
"Lee love Dawn. Marriage. Question mark."
Danny
Nice job on the hats too! 🙂👍
Danny
Dawn has absolutely nothing in common with Lee. Dunno how they ever got together.
Chrono_Punk
Mike has definitely came over a little queer 😂
Jon
When will 'Hat-FM' merch be made available to Patreons? ;)
Fordy7169
Yes Brent's delusions about being a comedy genius have been well and truly punctured and his jealous streak insecurity about his new boss Neil is fermenting. P.S. the Welsh girl from Swindon's comment to Brent about being offended on someone else's behalf and him having only 1 non-white member of staff highlights the start of the DEI wokery which has become prevalent through-out this century. She desperately wants to be seen a 'good right-on' person, ironically the same as Brent does, but he doesn't quite pull it off. Her moral superiority comes into question in a later episode though.
Thomas
Watching from Stockholm. It was nice to be reminded of milk monitors. They were a kind of shit prefect back in the day when every primary school child was given a free half-pint bottle of milk every day by the government. All part of a drive to ensure kids had a healthy start to the school day. Margaret Thatcher, then a mere government minister for education, caused uproar when she decided to axe the milk. There were massive protests but to no avail, and Mrs T became known as “Thatcher, The Milk Snatcher’ long before the old bat became the so-called Iron Lady. The milk was delivered in crates to each classroom, and the milk monitor had the task of handing the bottles out and all the empties collected.
PoPaDoMZz
Are the Antennas on the hats affecting the audio?
David Broome
Personally I give women enough credit to live their own lives and make their own minds up about relationships, but that's me. Affairs are a normal part of life, even after marriage. It doesn't make it right or something that should be promoted but let's not pretend every relationship and marriage is perfect and neither partner should ever seek someone else. Yes ideally you leave one relationship before starting another but we don't live in an ideal World and life is complicated and sh*t happens when we least expect it. Once kids are involved then there is more responsibility and need to put aside your own feelings.
Emma Edwards
“I can maybe pull off Jim”… whatever floats your boat Mike!! 😂
Scarlett
i agree. I work with a bunch of guys at my work and we're really pally. to misinterpret it as romantic (Lee) is his own insecurity/mistrust of Dawn, something that he needs to work on. but then this just leads to the argument/debate that men and women cannot just be friends.
David Broome
American office, like all US comedy shows and some UK sit coms, had cut-out cookie characters and the mocumentary style barely exists, the UK version has more realistic personalities with flaws and realistic motivations more in fitting with a documentary and all the more clingier and funny for it IMO.
Mark McKeown
"I can't be as cool as Tim, but I can maybe pull off Jim" - what you get up to in your own time, is your business, Mike! TMI
Shuayb
loool loving the outfits! Where did you find the hats?!? I need one 🤯
Steve Small
Jim did treat Pam like that after she rejected him, and after Roy tried to attack him. At the end of last season Dawn rejected Tim. By doing anything with Tim, she's cheating, anyway. I don't really see their overfamiliarity as romantic - nor Pam and Jim's.
Emma Edwards
Lovin the hats guys 😂
RegenerationNationTV
Thought I had it sorted. We have someone on it now and will take this down and reupload the new one with hopefully better audio as soon as we can.
RegenerationNationTV
No, but it's hilarious that everyone thinks that. That's where my mind would go to as well, with these long antennas popping out of our heads. lmao
RegenerationNationTV
It's not that I'm rooting for them. It's clear that Tim and Dawn are a better match. I'm just saying that it's not that hard to call it quits with Lee and start something up with Tim with a clean slate. Firstly, I don't want some dude always lingering in the background who has it out for me. Secondly, I just don't want to start a relationship with semi-cheating being the foundation. That's my view on it, and this is a peek into why Jess hates me watching certain shows with her 😂
James Welsh
I changed my headphones, thinking they were playing up, lol, forgot that you were having audio problems
Ryan
Mike rooting for Lee & Dawn.. interesting take haha
Kourga
All the way from the UK you mean! American show but actually recorded/filmed in Blighty.
Josh Read
Is the audio problems because of the hats? Brilliant reaction though guys.
bobby g
Love that Office is back! (Audio is awful btw!)
Dan G, Leicester
Did you think "There goes David Brent - I must remember to thank him"?
David Cole
I started watching this this morning, then passed Ricky Gervais in the street an hour later.
Markos
the ma-na ma-na song at the begining they were doing was from the muppet show which used to play in the UK all the way from the USA on weekends way back in the 70's and 80's so for anyone around GenX you would have heard it non stop in school classrooms and teachers shouting SHUT UP !!! lol
Andy
Mike with the shirt and tie, hat and tache looks like the class joker who's been kept behind about 20 years in school.
Tom H
YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH. I LOVE Still Game but I was starting to resent it waiting for this.
James Ososki
Love the outfits!!! 1000% appreciated
Chester
I noticed the 24 hour garage and hobnobs reference too. Damon and Iain decided to pinch a few lines I think. After they were made gay by Ricky in Extras I guess they get some latitude 🤣
Chester
If you need a hand with your setup there are plenty of people on here who can help out. Your PC is clearly struggling to record your two mics. Maybe put up a video of your setup and we can give you some tips? It’s no fun having these kinds of issues when you appear to have decent equipment. I’m guessing you have a fairly recent PC so there’s no reason why it can’t handle it. Especially as you must be going through an ASIO interface with the XLR connections. Let us know what we can do to help because we love the reactions so we don’t want these kinds of technical difficulties to keep happening 🫡👍
Joseph Potter
Great reaction thank you guys. Crazy awkward episode to open the season with 🤣 gets even better!
Ryan Lynch
Brent says "leetle beet drunk" about the Ipswich conference, the way that Simon said "leeetly spleef" in recent Inbetweeners. Now Im wondering if it is coincidence or a reference.
Paul
Cool hats. But the aerial's are messing with your mics. Lol!
James Hyde
It’s from the film ‘Heaven and Hell’ which came out before The Muppets show used it. But the Muppets made it famous.
Chester
‘24 hour garage and get me some hobnobs’ First time I’ve noticed the writers of the inbetweeners lifted that one as an easter egg. Payback for Ricky making them both gay in Extras maybe lol
Chester
You might need this on your audio track. They have a lot of good tools on a subscription: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/rx/features/de-click.html
Rachie
The opening song is from The Muppet Show.
Chester
I thought it was the HatFM interfering
Christian Rolfe
It definitely gets funnier and more cringy the deeper you go, prepare for extreme cringe
Simon Cross
Bad sound quality guys, same on the Mitchell and Webb reaction, just thought you should know.
DG
About Tim and Dawn, they didn’t really do anything wrong, it’s not like they kissed or anything. And as you learn the further it goes, Lee is a bit of a dick who kind of dictates what Dawn does in life and doesn’t consider her aspirations, whereas Tim genuinely cares about her. Anyway this vid was such a nice surprise, thanks :)
Silk
Yep. Muppets. 😁
James Hyde
The song “Mah na mah na” originated in Europe in the 1960’s on a film called ‘Heaven and Hell’ but most people know it from The Muppets show, who popularised it within a funny sketch.
James Aston
I cannot believe the Hat FM hats actually exist 😂 that's great
Erica
Any excuse to dress up love it xx
MarkeB
Love the caps. Looking forward to this one...
na plz
Hat FM!
Louise Miller
That dress code is hilarious, love it 😊 thank you for giving me a proper laugh before starting my day
Scott
Second!
DG
Yaaaaaaas finally!!!!!
