Anything associated with Gervais is worth looking at. I personally would go for Father Ted over It Crowd but it would have been great to see a more modern comedy in there, After Life aside. Fleabag would be perfect reaction material - two short seasons with a mix of comedy, emotional moments but also females leading the way. It is a modern classic British comedy and endlessly rewatchable.

I'd say series 2 is a lot better than series 1. When you think of episodes like The Long Legs of the Law, A losing streak and A Touch of Glass... I think Episode 2 of series 1 is a great episode as well though. bxkid7 Loved Only Fools as well. So does Taffe316, who said along with Father Ted, it's been the favourite thing he's reacted to.

So pleased to discover it along with you - I was considering catching up with King Boomer who has already reacted to the full she-bang, but he's done this one solo without his Queen and I generally prefer a two-person reaction. And I have plenty to watch as is so I'll wait for you two in October After Life: Oh well, they can't all be winners. From my one viewing of it years ago, I mostly remember it being smug, emotionally manipulative mawkish shit with none of the subtlety of 'The Office' and 'Extras', an opinion only enforced by YouTube video essays on the steep decline of Ricky Gervais' recent work I've watched afterwards. But hey, who knows, maybe your insights can change my mind!

Little Britain has aged really poorly I think. I liked it when I was a teen but revisiting it now is a hard watch. Not even for political reasons, sketch comedy has just evolved so much since that the old 'repeated character/catchphrase' format just doesn't hold up I don't think.

Apologies if I've missed mention of it but I wouldn't watch WILTY in order. There's no need to and the earlier episodes aren't as good, it is probably best to just choose random episodes. If you do watch in order, please start with S3 though as it isn't the same without Rob Brydon hosting. I don't think anyone will mind. Also, just want to say I appreciate your efforts to try and keep everyone happy. The new schedule is very fair and nicely varied.

Well done Mike and Jess, seems you've gone with what you've enjoyed already and logically moved onto successors which have similar type of humour styles. Something for most people. A pre-emptive strike at most of the militant, self-appointed comedy-expert moaners. The next phase of polling should throw up some left-field but brilliant comedies as well as some classics you've yet to experience e.g. Blackadder, the Alan Partridge and Chris Morris canons, Peter Kay stuff etc.

With extras the episode order was slightly changed between the UK and the US they swapped the first 2 episodes around. In the UK it was Ross Kemp then Ben Stiller. I would suggest the UK order but it doesn't matter 🙂
