Back in 1981 we only had 3 terrestrial TV channels, BBC1, BBC2, Regional ITV. If Grandad had 3 TV's he could have the all the channels playing and choose which one he wanted to watch at a particular time by turning the sound down on the other 2. But because he's a daft old sod he has them both on the same channel. If the third one came back he'd have that on e the same as well.

In the youtube world now, some European football leagues (German Bundesliga and English Championship) are giving youtubers the rights to live stream their games as react content. This is huge when you consider how big the illegal streaming market has been for years, now there's no need for that as youtubers will stream it all for free to the end user.

Pernod and black was a pretty common drink. It wasn't thick like that, but they probably had to make it like that for the "getting it all over their faces" cute meet interaction. Also, Del is getting the name wrong (of course). Pernod is pronounced "per-no". You will get used to Del's exotic and experimental drinks. It's a running joke. Watch out for him mis-pronouncing them (and everything else).

When I was much younger I remember going to a night out, got a bit the worse for wear, at the end of the night me and my pal were phoning a taxi from a pay phone in the pub. I remember distinctly being on the phone and saying ‘ taxi, taxi’, handed the phone to my pal who was also asking for a taxi. Eventually the 3rd pal came over as she couldn’t understand what was taking so long trying to order a taxi, when she took the handset she found we had been onto the talking clock for about 5 minutes.
