Huh...guess Red Skull was a different kind of crazy than what good ol Uncle Dru had? Cuz you'd think Myk would compare the two's types of craziness...

Bcrane00

hIS FIRST JUMP HAS HIM LANDING STRAIGHT IN A HYDRA BASE? That's..... stupid. really stupid. the odds are absolutely astronomical. infinitely so actually. and they immediately knock him out? krytonians live on a world with hundreds of times our gravity! they may not be super charged like superman under a yellow sun for 20 years. but they are still sturdy enough that a hit by a HUMAN to the head should feel like a toddler with a pool noodle. This all feels so incredibly forced so that hydra has his dna and can make clones or serums.

Captain2003Rex

Jeez, going from DC “Gods amongst Men” Comics to Marvel “Men aspiring to be Gods” Comics is quite the jump for our guy to be making. And he has no idea lmao. Altho, I suppose I shouldn’t be too harsh, Marvel does have a fair few ridiculously powerful characters of their own. But then again, I don’t really remember those godlike or actual god characters being much of a factor in WWII, so I guess my earlier point still kinda stands lol.

BarryManiHigh

A curiosity I have about the Universal Translator. Is it verbal only or hypothetically could it be used to learn sign language?

cocobum

Thanks for the chapter <3

Cambrian

Nah probably not, I don't have a very good opinion of the MCU after Infinity War

Mezz015

Got a question would you be interested in doing a post no way home story for Peter Parker and a harem?

Jacob Steele

Damn, not really a fan of the whole I instantly steal your biology and make clones easily in the future aspect of the comics or this. To me it always felt like an easy cop out for them realizing just how strong they made beings like kryptonians, just make enemy clones rather than competent differing enemies. Him waking up a damsel in distress to be rescued by captain America or shield or the like is also a little disappointing. Tyftc nonetheless.

oscar enrique sampedro lopez

Well, already the guy is dead, because I see no reason why they would take their science experiment on a walk to get fresh air.

VaticToxic

Depends on the comic run. In Death of Superman (when he first fought Doomsday) the stated reason it took so long for Superman to "revive" from his death was that he had drained his entire solar battery in the fight, causing him to have a heartbeat that was so slow it could only be heard once per several minutes, before he was buried underground. Being underground, instead of in direct sunlight, slowed his recovery. So if, by that logic, being underground slows recovery for a Kryptonian whose been exposed for 30+ years then a Kryptonian that may have never been exposed to the yellow sun might take a while to start gaining powers while underground.

Noam Bar

It doesn't make sense, just the ambient solar radiation would empower him beyond human limits, making it easy for him to escape

VaticToxic

Ngl, I like reading in google docs, so I'd prefer the link to be at the start but direct posting also doesn't bother me so long as dumb auto delete stuff doesn't start happening again. Also lol@Johann thinking that's a "good deal" in any way. Hydra having it's hands on Kryptonian biology is gonna be weird. On the one hand, bad stuff could happen. On the other hand, good luck doing anything with it for 50+ years from WW2 era tech. It'd be like looking at human DNA as an 1800s scientist with no frame of reference for what anything does besides the observable.

redhawktiger

Uh....wouldn't the ambient solar radiation still empower him? I mean Superman doesn't loose his powers at night or deep underground?

Kasikan

Not really fond of his first experience being captured the moment he arrives. Odds of that happening are astronomically low. I'd expect him to at least have invisibility tech to be able to pop places and disappear just as quickly. As you never know what type of situation you'd be appearing in with random teleporters. Though it does bring up the question of whether he could set the device to put him in the open rather than in a building or cave as getting teleported into a wall would be fatal even for a Kryptonian? Would expect the device to have a failsafe of not being within so many feet of solid matter to prevent such a scenario. Which most building hallways would be too small to meet the requirements to teleport in. An atrium could work, but a random hall would be too tight a space for safety sake.

War sage

Damn from DC to the mcu that's certainly a jump lol

thevolunteer

Hello, I would like to see order a dozen or so chapters of this, ASAP.

Tsorov

Because he doesn't know that the sun gives him power? The Kryptonians didn't leave their home system after they secluded themselves, or else there would be far more superpowered Kryptonians flying through space

Dr.Elf

Got to say I enjoy the return to the old posting the story directly to the sight instead of as a Google doc.

Devon

Why doesn't he tell Schmit that the device is solar powered. It can't be used or removed, because it's out of power. "I'm afraid that's not how it works, Mr Schmitt. You may have captured me, but your man Zola does not have the tools to learn anything from me without my cooperation. Therefore, I set the terms, and my terms so far have been rather reasonable. You let me go,.. THEN I open dialogue."

FieryD

And now Hydra have kryptonian blood....thats gonna end well. Would be nice to see Hydra actually make more powerful super soldiers with that and beats up Cap lol. Also thanks for the chapter.

Corn The Man

I always assumed the sun thing was something he'd figure out right away or soon after beginning his travels. But the FIRST place this guy lands is in a Nazi Facility. Well at least Bucky's appearance means the captain won't be far behind. Also I kinda want to know, does the MC know how to fight at all. He comes from a military family but did choose to be a scientist.

Cerberus09

For a minute there I thought you sent him to yojo senki with the whole germany against the world thing lol. Looking forward to when he gets some sunlight and/or the super soldier formula.

Nanaya7Nights

Fingers crossed that the MC studies the Tessaract to better perfect his dimension tech (maybe gaining short range teleportation, the ability to bring stuff with him and maybe an inventory of sorts) AND that he steals a bunch of Vibranium from Wakanda before leaving.

Cambrian

I'm not planning to have Myk-Zod hang around quite that long heh. He'll stick around long enough to make a mess of things, but eventually decide to move on shortly after the end of the first Captain America movie I'm thinking. This first stop is intended to be relatively short with maybe the next one being a longer one.

Miles H

Kryptonians under a yellow sun with no Kryptonite are pretty OP in early MCU. Maybe The Ancient One might come sniffing along because the MC does not belong... but you could rizz her up. So staying in the early MCU for a few decades developing technology and uncovering mysteries and working with Howard Stark and messing with Wakanda's plans should be doable.
