I agree with that, there is just enough info about Greg, that if you change anything it would be too out of place. Also I've seen too many authors use Greg as a base for their stories, it would be good to see something new

While that would be great, I don't think Cam would be open to killing a slot, let alone one for such a relatively popular fanfic/fandom.

Talking characters like Sveta and Mouse Protector and Dragon and others who were dealt a bad hand and could use a helping hand. As well as characters who didn't get much coverage here in this fic

Gotta say, I love the idea, though im curious how youre going to pull it off. Basically its a what do you mean by worst off characters? Are we talking characters that are in bad situations but could be redeemed like Sherrel/Skidmark? Characters that have just been screwed over by the system kinda like Taylor? Or characters that are horrible people that you want to use but can't figure out how like Fenja/Menja (i find Nazis hard to redeem, though it's not impossible)?

As others have said I think you could do Greg but you’d probably have to make him so ooc that you’d essentially have to make him an oc anyway also you wouldn’t get to have void either being way off the mark or absolutely dead on.

There are many fanfiction with Greg Veder as the main character. Out of those, I can think of only three where I found the concept tolerable. All of them are abandoned and unfinished. I don't doubt you have the skill to make Greg into a tolerable and maybe even a good main character, however I would rather not risk it.

I honestly don’t think I could get into a Greg centric story. Much easier to use an oc or even another guy like Theo.

If its a AU aged up Greg, is it even Greg anymore? OC works better and doesnt come with any of the negative connotations Greg comes with in the fandom space when trying to attract new readers. Worm fandom is more likely to read a OC than want to read a Greg Vader Harem fic

I don't know Greg enough to dislike him, since I never read Worm, but for the same reason, as far as I'm concerned an OC is like an AU Greg that I don't need to worry whether I'm missing a piece of context or a reference.
