While I'm glad Camilla kept her tongue and stayed out of Thomas' conversation with Eloise - while still eavesdropping, of course - I do wonder about how she'll react when the truth of Thomas' situation is confirmed and it's clear that there's a completely different person inside of her charge's meatsack than there was when Camilla & "Lord Thomas" left the Capital. I suppose it will all be dependent on whatever the popular religion or religions believe about possession or reincarnation...Camilla deciding it's a sign of the Devil or a demon now using Thomas' body due to him selling his soul is all too possible if the world he finds himself in is akin to Western societies prior to the 20th century.

Yeah I've definitely given myself easy mode with Eloise as a love interest and hard mode with Camilla as a love interest. We'll see if I can realistically sell it or not!

Definitely interesting and I'm looking forward to the MC interacting with more people, loved the chat with Eloise. Less so Camilla so far, personal ticks involved, but the unceasing disdain and suspicion make me uncomfortable to the point I have kind have written Camilla off as a love interest with the currently provided interactions. Curious to see how that will change, but not really holding my breath for that yet. As a character I don't know anything about Camilla beyond that she's a total bitch (deservedly or not) to the MC to make building that relationship seem valuable. If that makes sense? Very early of course, so who knows, maybe next chapter has her starting to put the pieces together seeing him interact with the "commoners" like a decent human, and we'll get to see something less 1-note.

I definetly like the way this story has started. It has a bit of desperation, as all good progression storys need, but the MC know his limits too, and acts accordingly. I also like the way Eloise is portrayed until know. She seems unsure at the moment, probably because of our MCs title, but I'm sure that will change in time. Thx for the chapter!
