One week since the free update, and my patreon has seen a little bit of growth, so I wanted to make a quick statement!
Firstly, huge thanks to everyone here! The support is what keeps the game going. As you know, this is a free game, and not being kept behind a paywall, so your contribution here is very generous. I try my best to keep a good balance between rewarding patrons, and keeping the game free, so I hope you're all enjoying the little exclusives and sneak peeks. Aside from direct chatting and comment suggestions, the main thing I have to offer patrons is the regular builds, so remember you can ask me for an update on the game any time, and I'll make one asap, as a way of being transparent and showing my continued progress. It's not much, but I must stress, if you're not happy with the rewards and exclusives I have on offer, you will ALWAYS be able to play this for free. The reason for that is because at the moment, this game is a side project in my life. Your donations are what drive me to squeeze as much of it as I can into every week, and gives me accountability for seeing it through. And by the way: I am more than half way to my patreon goal for being able to do this as my job! It seems too good to be true, but you guys make it seem more and more possible every month.
Next thing to mention is the IP situation. You might have noticed that I've removed every mention of copyrighted properties from this page's description. For precautionary reasons, this game is officially about a "hero" trying to rescue "a princess" from a "monster". I hope you'll all join in using that terminology for legal safety as your comments show up on the public view of this page.
Please note: as the game grows in popularity it's highly likely that it will be taken down eventually. That's why my top priority is to make it legally distinct before it grows too big!
Don't worry too much however, if this game gets taken down, it'll always be playable on the web somewhere, and I will just move on to the next porn game.

That would still be liable because copyrighted characters are still contained in the game I'm distributing. but its fine if they're brought in by the player as a custom character

Have the characters locked behind a cheat code. You type it in at the menu and voila. The models get swapped out
Will there still be any version with the IP'd characters or will it be only be a newer version. Maybe something like a model switch for a hidden version of the game?

More on the IP issue. (Note I may delete this comment later). The game will always feature the characters you came here for, but I am looking at ways to mask that in order to remain immune. Tekuho's "Super Toshiro" is a great example of a legally distinct parody, as my brain reads his princess as the one I know and love, so it really works for me. But that's plan B. Right now, I am trying to find ways of releasing the game with original characters, and including a feature where players can bring a sprite sheet from an outside source to update the game with new characters. I have actually done that before on a small scale, so I know its possible, but it's extremely difficult to implement in a big game. However, if I can do that successfully, this game will be legally immune, allowing me to continue developing it indefinitely! If anyone has strong experience with unity and knows a good way to do that, please get in touch with me in chat and we can discuss payment for that too.
