Love Addict's RPG Vol. 2 Ch. 62
🕑 Added 2024-03-17 03:36:13 +0000 UTCEdit as of 4/6/24. I’ve retooled a lot of the dialogue in the second half to alter Zoe’s sexuality and make it less ambiguous. It’s now presented more that she’s legitimately curious and wouldn’t be forcing herself if they messed around, and it’s established that while low she DOES have a libido. Her libido will grow more intense as her feelings for Oliver do. Also made it sound less that she’s uninterested in sex at and more that she doesn’t feel it’s worth her time.
Let me know how the new version sounds.

Oliver waited for Mia to leave before returning to the living room and taking back his seat next to Zoe. He hadn’t missed much since he’d left. She was still lounging about carelessly, intermittently checking her phone, and twitching from all the caffeine in her.
“Fuck took you so long? Were you cranking one out in there, shitting, or what? Better not’ve ruined the toilet.” Zoe said instead of greeting him.
Okay. Already not off to a great start with round two. Her vulgarity got on Oliver’s nerves, but he knew what he had to do. Joke back and not let it bother him.
“Your toilet’s fine, somehow,” Oliver grabbed an empty can of Gamer Gulpies from the coffee table, inspecting its nutritional value- or lack thereof. “Not sure how that’s the case given how much radioactive piss you must’ve dumped in it by now, but hey. Seriously, though. You drink how many of these a day?”
Zoe looked up from her game and then over at Oliver. It took her a second, but soon, her eyes and mouth both smiled. “Bare minimum, we’re talking at least a six-pack. Could be up to twice that much if I’m on the grind or a big enough game just dropped. You joke, but ‘radioactive’ ain’t far off the mark. Pretty damn sure I’ve pissed every color of the rainbow.”

Oliver laughed more than a little at her absurdity. It was gross, but the way she’d up and said something so crazy without skipping a beat amused him.
“No way. Radioactive piss, sure. I’ll buy that, but you can’t expect me to believe you’ve ever had twelve energy drinks in a single day. Not without your heart exploding.”
“Trust me, there were some close fuckin’ calls! Pretty sure I slept for three days the last time I had that many, and then I had the wildest fucking nightmare throughout the whole damn thing. You ever had a three-day-long nightmare, Olive?”
”It’s Oliver, and… no, I… can’t say that I have…”
“Shit’s a religious experience. Really changes your perspective, y’know? Shakes you up. Makes you rethink all the dumb decisions that got you to that point.” Zoe gazed upwards in reminiscence. “Speaking of, would you mind topping me off? There should be a fresh one on the fridge's top shelf.” She grabbed the other empty can and rattled it to showcase its emptiness.
“Absolutely fucking not,” Oliver laughed morbidly. “I’ll never personally hand you a can of Gamer Gulpies so long as I live. Feels like I’d be directly contributing to your assisted suicide.”
“Chill, dude! Chill. I’m just fucking with you.” Zoe laughed back. “Not gonna need another one for a few more hours, tops.”
“Oh, good. Glad to hear you’re pacing yourself.”
Zoe grinned. “I try.”
Fucked up as her addiction was, it actually served as a halfway decent icebreaker. Oliver didn’t feel as uncomfortable around Zoe as he did during his first go at this. He’d made some headway. Now he just had to push harder to keep the conversation from drying up.
Oliver latched onto the first thing he could think of, zeroing in on her gaming device and going for it. “So, how long have you had that Vapor Dock?”
“Day fuckin’ one, baby. It's not a halfway decent PC for its size, long as you get it a nice, tanky microSD. It struggles a bit with some newer releases, but even then I'd wager it can handle most anything worth playing, and it's a goddamn dream come true for emulation. Never leave home without it, personally. Or at least I wouldn't if I ever left home.” She snickered.
"I thought about picking one up sometime down the road, but it's not really in the cards right now with how much Mia and I get paid. You know how it is."
"Well, you definitely should if you get the chance," Zoe stated matter-of-factly, then got quiet as she started focusing on her game even harder.
Oliver started brainstorming things he could say to keep the conversation going. The clock was ticking, and every second spent in silence was a perceived failure. She was friendly enough and answered when spoken to, but he otherwise wasn't expecting her to engage with him on her own.
That's why Oliver was so surprised to see her move the conversation forward herself.
"Sooooo... I gotta say, Olive. You and Mia seem like you're doing good together. How'd it even happen in the first place? Pretty sure she told me already, but I could probably use a refresher. A lot of time, shit goes in one ear and out the other." Zoe shifted around again as she spoke, now reclining her back against the arm of the sofa and crossing her legs, carelessly resting one foot on Oliver's thigh
The casual contact made him nervous, but it wasn't worth pointing out. Not when Zoe would presumably tease him for being bothered by it. More importantly, she appeared interested in what he had to say and continually kept peeking over the edge of her Vapor Dock to look at him.
"It's a weird story. The gist is that we've worked together for ages but never really started talking to each other until last Wednesday. It honestly came out of nowhere and... I don't know. It was exactly what I needed at that moment for things to click."
"Huh. So you have one nice chat with a cute chick, and that's enough for you to get a huge crush on her?"
"Kind of," he admitted. "I'd been feeling pretty low up until then, though. I latched onto her really hard because of that loneliness, and things snowballed."
"Cute," Zoe grinned. "I like it. Wild that you didn't fucking recognize her, though. God. She was so upset about that, dude. You have no idea."
"I already feel bad enough about that as it is. No need to twist the knife..."
"Sorry, not sorry. Knife twisting's just another one of my many features."
"Good to know," Oliver sighed, sinking into his seat. "By the way, that reminds me. Mia said you've been friends since you were little, but does that mean that you and I...?"
"Yuuuuup," Zoe casually confirmed. "That said, high school is one big fuckin' four-year blur for me, and I'm already not that great with names and faces. No idea if we had any classes together, and I don't remember you if we did. The shitstorm surrounding you, though? Now that I remember."
"Awesome," Oliver flatly intoned. "I'm really psyched to hear that, Zoe. Just the other day, I was thinking how the number one thing my social circle needed more of was people with intimate knowledge of the most embarrassing part of my life."
"Honored to be a part of the club, heh," Zoe hit the power button on her device, then set it aside. He expected her to check her messages again, but she didn't. Instead, she crossed her arms and looked him in the eyes.
"Look. Real talk? I know I'm edgy and kind of a huge bitch, but I'm never gonna tease you over any of that. You seriously helped Mia out way back when, dude. Might've fucked up and martyred yourself along the way, but still. Not much else'll get you on my good side faster than that."
Huh.
Oliver hadn't expected that. It poked holes in what he thought he knew about Zoe- started clearing up some of his misconceptions. The topic of Mia was probably worth exploring in further detail.
"Thanks, I think? You two sound really close."
"Always have been, always will," Zoe smiled proudly.
"And how long have you known each other?"
"Kindergarten, I think?" Zoe cocked her head. "Might've been preschool, fuck if I know. One of the two. All that really matters is that I'm a useless sack of shit, and Mia's she's always been there to clean my cage and change my water. Probably wouldn't even be here right now if it weren't for her, honestly. I try and give back however I can, but it never really feels like it's enough, you know? Don't take this the wrong way or anything, but she's basically everything to me."
It was getting harder to keep his confusion from showing on his face.
"Man, I'm kinda jealous when you put it like that. My life probably would've been better off if Mia was part of it a lot sooner."
"Sure as shit would've," Zoe nodded. "That's just how she is- a net positive to everyone around her. Simply the fuckin' best."
"No arguments here," Oliver smiled.
He no longer doubted that Zoe's affection was sincere or that she appreciated everything Mia did for her. There was an argument to be made that she didn't appreciate it enough, but she certainly wasn't as manipulative as he initially thought. It had him wondering how things got as bad as they are.
Taking his biggest gamble yet, Oliver outright asked, "How are you two doing lately, though? Everything okay?"
"...Uh, yeah?" Zoe scrunched a brow and looked at him funny. "Everything's totally fine, same as ever. Where'd that fuckin' come from?"
Shit. Might've been too direct.
Oliver proceeded to deftly cover his ass. "Just wondering. New relationship, and all that. Last thing I want is to come between you guys."
His deflection worked, though it came with a zinger.
"Ironic. Pretty sure that you coming between us is her biggest fuckin' fantasy." Zoe's sharp smile and half-lidded eyes painted the dictionary definition of 'impish'. Her foot, which had been dormant until now, activated. It raised from his thigh to poke him in the chest with her big toe.
"Not even remotely what I meant," Oliver managed a laugh and nervously shoved her foot away. "It's just that Mia seemed a little down the last couple of times she’s talked about you, and I was worried about making it worse."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Zoe sat up and leaned forward, giving him her full attention and a full view of everything else along with it. He only narrowly managed to look away microseconds before learning whether or not she still had on her pasties. "Back the fuck up for a sec, Olive. What all’s she said?"
"I'm, um, not really sure it's my place to say..."
"You already fuckin' brought it up, so you might as wel," Zoe's brows furrowed, her sharp, twitchy eyes actually somewhat intimidating. "C'mon, man. We both know she sucks fat fuckin' donkey dildos at telling people her feelings, so if you don't clue me in, I'll probably never get it out of her!"
Seeing how concerned Zoe got about the mere implication that she'd unintentionally upset Mia really got to Oliver and hammered in how much she cared. When faced with such intensity, he had little choice but to tell her the truth.
"Okay, okay. I think she's just a little upset that you might be taking her for granted."
"The fuck? No way. Mia knows damn well how much I appreciate her!"
"Does she really?"
"Of course she does," Zoe waved her hand at him and rolled her eyes. "That can't be it. There's gotta be something more to it than that. What else did she say?"
"...Well other than that, I'm pretty sure she's upset that you don't hang out with her as much as you used to."
Zoe blinked. "I hung out with her yesterday, though?"
"That was two days ago."
"Close enough."
"When was the last time you guys did anything before that?"
"Uh," Zoe strained herself for the answer. "Couldn't have been more than a week or two, I think? Not sure. I really only sleep every two or three days, so time is pretty fuckin' wonky for me."
"Seriously? How the fuck are you not dead?"
"Mia, mostly?"
“…Okay, yeah," Oliver sighed. "That makes sense."
Zoe quoted as she considered the situation, suddenly looking like she was experiencing another caffeine crash. The illusion shattered when she groaned and slumped her head.
“I guess I can kinda see why she’d be upset with me, but it’s not like I have a choice. My fans need me, and someone’s gotta pay the bills around here… still… maybe this temp ban doesn’t have to be the worst thing in the world?”
“I can’t fully speak for Mia, but yeah. Pretty sure she’d be much happier with you if you used some of your unexpected time off to hang out with her.”
“Exactly what I was thinking!” Zoe smirked, happy to see a way forward. “Aren’t you worried about where that leaves you, though? You guys only started dating this week, right? Or was that last week…? Eh. Whatever the case, I'd have thought you’d be itching for a little more one on one time. Heh.”
“Well,” Oliver blushed but didn’t look away. “It’s not like I’m not, but it's no skin off my back if she wants to hang out with her friend. And I won't lose much time with her because I'm pretty sure she'll try and involve me, somehow, too. Mia really wants us to get along."
“Yeah, I’ll bet,” Zoe snickered.
“Come on, Zoe. I’m being serious.”
"I know, I know," she grumbled again. "That does give me some ideas, though... I wanna make things up to her, and now I'm thinking it might be interesting to see what happens if I throw her a bone..."
"Should I be worried about your phrasing, or...?"
"Heh! Not entirely what I was getting at, but close enough. Between you and me, I’ve never been super interested in sex. Just feels like it'd be a big waste of time, you know? Rather be gaming instead of worrying about all that stupid shit."
"Uh, sure," Oliver nodded his head casually.
If Zoe didn’t feel sex was worth her time, cool. That didn't make her an alien. It just made her different, and different was okay. That said, Oliver couldn't help thinking it was a little sad how one activity dominated her life to such an extent.
"That's valid. Can’t say I really relate, though. Personally speaking, gaming’s always been the outlet I vented my frustrations over not getting laid or having a girlfriend..." Oliver laughed a little in self-deprecation.
"Seriously?" Zoe snorted. "Wow. That's some mad incel shit, bro."
The mood darkened after she'd said that, Oliver sweating mildly as he looked away. Zoe noticed this and felt awkward, then tried to compensate by zooming straight past the tension.
"...Anyway,” she coughed. “All I meant was that I might not get why sex is such a big deal to Mia, she's still the most important person in my world. My gut instinct is telling me you feel the same, which is the only reason I'm gonna make the offer I'm about to. So here it is, Olive. How would you feel about giving your precious, kinky little girlfriend a taste of the shit she’s into?"
Oliver studied Zoe in greater detail. Her sarcastic smile. Her suggestive pose. The twinkle of amusement in her sharp, otherwise serious eyes.
"You're not joking about this, are you...?"
"Nope. Dead fuckin' serious. I've apparently been a shitty friend without meaning to, and I wanna do something nice to make it up to her. Something she'll never forget."
Oliver shifted around in his seat and hunched forward ever so slightly. He had to briefly look away from Zoe for obvious reasons. His blood was running hot, every last ounce of it flooding into his lower half.
"Bro, are you serious right now?" Zoe cracked up. "Damn! Really got no control over that thing, huh, Olive?"

"You can take it as 'I'm listening'. I don't wanna jump ahead until you've spelled out what you're suggesting, and, more specifically, what you're comfortable with."
Zoe stared at him for a couple of seconds, confused. "You actually care about that shit even though you're rocking magnum dong?"
"Contrary to popular belief, some guys still have access to our brains when we get erections. Mine's telling me it's not cool with the idea of fooling around with someone who’s not actually into it."
“Huh. Okay. I appreciate it, but you don’t need to stress yourself out over me. I’m vaguely interested in giving it a shot, I’ve just never bothered to try until now.”
“Never?”
“I mean, I’ve touched myself once in a blue moon, but that’s about it?” Zoe shrugged. “I think I’ve got a low libido compared to most people, but it’s not like I’m an asexual.”
“Sorry, Zoe. I didn’t mean to grill you, it just wouldn’t have sat right with me knowing you were forcing yourself.”
“Chill, that’s not the case,” Zoe made a strange expression and looked away, her cheeks a little red. “But it’s nice that you’re considerate, or whatever. Thanks for that. Wouldn’t have really expected it coming from any other guy, but… I don’t know, I guess I can see why Mia might be so crazy about you, heh.”

Zoe appeared significantly changed since the start of their conversation. She was still continually twitching, but it appeared more nervous versus compulsive. Her brows were scrunched, her frown all screwed up and squiggly. It was a cute expression.

It was happening. Oliver could feel it. His heart was racing, and it wasn't entirely from horniness.

The truth he wished conveniently to ignore was that he was that shallow. While not nearly as powerful as his feelings for Mia, the first embers of something for Zoe sparked within him.
It wasn't that he felt guilty. Not after he'd already decided to chase the other heroines. What Oliver felt was embarrassment over how comically little it took for him to develop a crush on a girl whose company he loathed not even fifteen minutes ago.
Calling Oliver shallower than a puddle was an insult to puddles.
"So what do you say?" Zoe looked back at him, having eased up. "You wanna talk details, or what?"
"Yes," he spat out immediately, almost as if he was tripping over himself to answer as fast as possible. "I mean, yeah. Sure. What did you have in mind?"
"Nothing too serious. I was just talking about shit like making out with me, letting you feel me up. You know, simple shit?" Zoe noticed how rapidly he was losing his composure and smiled. "Long as you can handle that much without blowing a load in your pants."
Oliver answered with silence.
"...Dude, don't tell me you actually might?" She laughed in disbelief, more color rushing into her cheeks.
"I probably won't, but you're stupidly hot, and I'm gonna be twice as excited doing this in front of Mia. I don't want to unintentionally lie and say the possibility doesn't exist..."
Zoe snorted, staring at him incredulously. "You know, you're really fuckin' forward, Olive. Especially for a shrimp."
"I'm not flirting," he grumbled. "You're objectively hot, and pointing that out is just stating a fact. Why do I have to keep telling people this...?"
"Whatever, nerd. It's fine if you lose your shit and cream your pants, I guess. Not gonna be mad about it, I’d just rather we didn’t risk going so far. Last thing I want’s for you to jizz yourself and start getting fuckin' feelings for me or some shit."
Oliver blew the world's most unconvincing raspberry and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, right. You and me? No way. I'm not into girls with radioactive piss."
"Heh. Prefer the girls with normal piss, do ya?"
"That... was absolutely not what I meant by that."
"Chill, there’s no shame in having a piss preference. You kinky fuck.”
Oliver's posture slumped in defeat, having gone from hating Zoe's crude attitude to somewhat enjoying getting fucked with by her in under an hour. That said, it didn't sit entirely right with the dom-in-training. Being teased was great, but getting teased and teasing straight back was what really got him going.
It made him want to pull one over on her, though Oliver knew he shouldn't.
Zoe trusted him not to make this weird, and betraying that trust would totally wreck the steady stream of affection she was developing. Maybe there was a subtler option hidden in his skill tree? It was worth a check later on before they got up to anything.
For now, he put a pin in it just in time to endure further teasing.
"Looking pretty squirmy there, nerd. You sure you're up to this? Figured I'd give you one last chance to pussy out before we shake on it."
It was the best he could do to summon his resolve and stare straight at Zoe. "Are you kidding? All I want is to make Mia happy, and she fantasizes so much about this kind of crap that she has entire sketchbooks full of it. I'd be crazy not to go for it."

It didn't just sound good. It sounded boner-inducing. Mia would go wild if they went with Zoe's plan, and Oliver's head spun just from thinking about it.
His hand reached out, shaking Zoe’s.
"Sounds great," he proudly declared.
"Hell yeah!" Zoe clenched tight while shaking back, then surprised Oliver when she refused to let him go. "Know what I'm thinking, Olive? I'm thinking someone just earned themselves a gold star."
Zoe's free hand dove into her tiny little tank top, hovered over her left tit, and peeled something from her skin. The next thing Oliver knew, a sticky golden star had been applied to his cheek. He stared at her in a state of pure erotic confusion.
His face was scarlet. His erection; painful.
She smirked like the devil at his stupid, slack-jawed expression. It was the funniest shit she'd ever seen in her life, and she couldn't look away. There was just something about it that she couldn't put into words. Something that she liked.
Zoe took back her hand, covered her eyes, and began cackling.
"Ahahahahaha! Holy shit, bro. Your fuckin' face right now! I can't even. Stay still, I need to get a picture of this-"
"N-No way! Don't you fucking dare, you radioactive piss goblin!" Oliver ripped his hand away, trying to grab Zoe's phone before she did. Unfortunately, the notifications that appeared caught his eye.

Luckily for Oliver, Zoe never got her picture. She was too distracted by the petite Mexican girl who'd walked in during the chaos. Everyone stopped in place to awkwardly stare at her as she did the same for them.
Mia's gaze locked onto the sticky gold star on her boyfriend's cheek. Then she looked him straight in the eyes, causing Oliver to shrink in fear purely thanks to the genetic memory in his DNA telling him that, traditionally speaking, getting caught with another woman's tit sticker on your face meant that you should probably get the fuck out of dodge.
Now, though? Things were a bit different.
"Mn," Mia idly hummed, cracking a lazy smile. "Would you look at that? Seems my thieves have officially been thickened."

Thanks for the update, even though I'm not sure I like it more than the original. I guess the changes weren't really for me though, since I had no issue with gore she was written the first time around. ;) Don't know how I missed these the first time around, but here are some edit suggestions: It's not a halfway decent PC for its size - remove "not"? or swap decent for bad? and Mia's she's always been there - remove one of Mia's/she's might as wel - well

I think you’ll like her a lot more by the next few chapters! It’s definitely more that she’s not ungrateful she’s just completely awful at showing it plus there’s some mental stuff that’ll be slowly revealed that have convalesced making her start in this unpleasant state.

Much like Oliver, I don’t like people who are ungrateful to the people I care about, but I never write them off because of it. Slowly shifting their relationship into something more healthy is always very cathartic.

It’s way too soon for any of that lmao. I appreciate the enthusiasm but damn son did you forget how slow the development is here? Mia still isn’t comfortable being seen naked, no one’s going down on her yet and Zoe becoming turned on is a gradual thing and he has to completely flop at it first to establish it. She’s demisexual so she gets turned on when she has an emotional connection with someone. It’s gonna be slow and it’s gonna confuse her and she’s going to be wary about it but it’s going to be very rewarding when she gets there.

Got an idea for a bet with Zoe since they are about to make out. Before this chapter she just seemed rude, abrasive, and ready to keel over at any moment due to a heart attack. After this chapter she is still all those things but maybe also kind of cute and I can see this relationship going places.
