She’s now clearly much more into it but since it’s all very new to her it’s presented more as confusion and not that she’s feeling nothing but vague curiosity.
It still sets up the narrative I wanted in that by the end she’s still not sold that sexual activity is a better time than gaming but now it’s less off-putting and dissociative. I wanted to explore a character starting at zero with low sensitivity but I ultimately agreed with the few people who were put off by the way I tried to do so.
The payoff for it wouldn’t be worth making her even harder for a portion of the audience to get into than she already is. That, and I stepped back and realized I didn’t want the follow-up to my first hugely successful work to have something so ‘arthouse’, not when I can still essentially tell the same story I wanted with Zoe just by ratcheting her starting sensitivity up a little.

Oliver didn't consider himself an angry person. He'd struggled with spite and hatred, but his bitterness never erupted into outright anger. Honestly, the idea of yelling intimidated someone so self-conscious and generally timid as himself. Including his dramatic boxing showdown last night, he could probably count the times he'd ever raised his voice at someone on one hand.
DokaDon Empire changed things.
"You... fucking... BITCH!" Oliver raised his voice at the woman cackling like mad to his left. "You didn't have to target me! You could've used that bandit brigade on one of the fucking NPCs!"
"Sorry, Olive! None of them had as much gold as you did!" Zoe watched in pure enjoyment at the sight of a brigand battalion overwhelmed Oliver's avatar.
He rolled his defense dice when prompted, but there were just too many threats. The thugs mugged him for all his cash.
"Damn it!"
"And now we're even for that dragon you sicced on my village a few turns back,"
"I only did that because of that mage you hired to cast meteor on my second castle!"
"So what?" Zoe sneered. "Gonna cry about it?"
"No," seething, Oliver trembled with rage. "What I'm gonna do is get you back for this. Swear to God. I don't fucking care what it takes, piss goblin. You. Will. PAY."
"Big words, little man! I'd like to see you fuckin' try!"
"What did I tell you, mn? Game makes monsters out of men, mi amor. Monsters out of men. Now keep it up and do your worst. Bitch's gotta pay." Mia said, clenching her knuckles till they were white and hot.
Oliver would've believed it if Satan really did have a hand in creating DokaDon Empire, as the game seemed purposefully engineered to ruin friendships.
Outside of a few hentai games that Oliver was probably going to hell for having played, he'd never seen a game that rewarded a player so much for being an asshole. It was brutal, it was hell, it was 'Fuck You, I've Got Mine: the Officially Licensed Video Game', and more so than anything else, it was... fun?
There was something about building up an empire and kicking enemies when they were down that primally satisfied Oliver, and he chose not to consider what that said about him.
Things were getting intense as the final turn rapidly approached. Oliver and Zoe were on even footing. Maybe the situation would've been different if Lucky Bastard wasn't still recharging its power, but alas. Their assets were perfectly tied, leaving him confused about whether Zoe would really throw the game or not.
He sure hoped she would, as Mia was getting antsier by the second, and he didn’t want to disappoint her.
“C’mon, mi amor. If you win this last minigame, Zoe won’t have enough gold to do anything on her last turn. C’mon, c’mon, c’mon…!”
Damn. Oliver had only seen Mia become this heated when they were getting frisky. She wanted this bad.
“I’m mashing the ‘X’ button as fast as I can over here,” Oliver said through gritted teeth. His thumb slammed up and down, every press causing his character to release the guillotine on a rebellious peasant.
Their plentiful screams each netted him a single gold coin.
“Not fast enough!” Zoe kept pace, pressing and pressing without reprieve.
Rather than mashing with her thumb, she relied on her pointer finger. A costly mistake. With only fifteen seconds remaining, Zoe jabbed her finger a little too hard and howled out in pain.
“GAH, FUCK!” Zoe shouted. In the heat of the moment, she dropped her controller.
This was it- his chance to close things out.
“She’s down and out, Ollie! Make her pay, make… her… PAY!”
Oliver spared Zoe a quick sideways glance where a playful wink awaited him. Mia was too absorbed to notice, but the tricky sloth hadn’t jammed her finger.
"That counted," Mia said hurriedly. "No do-overs."
"Yeah, yeah. I wasn't gonna ask for one." Zoe rolled her eyes, still rubbing her finger to keep up the charade.
"Guess all that's left is to close this out," Oliver proceeded past the minigame, and the final turn played out precisely as predicted.
Zoe and the NPCs couldn't stop Oliver from purchasing one last-second castle with his guillotine-gotten gold. With that, he officially had more territories on the board than anyone else, and DokaDon Empire declared him the victor. Cue the generic JRPG fanfare song.
Mia was the first to celebrate, pumping her fist as she said, "Fuck yeah, now that's what I'm talking about!"
"God, that was intense..." Oliver dropped his controller and leaned back in his seat. "I feel like I just aged ten years in the last hour and a half."
"Right?" Zoe lazily followed his cue, her controller plopping to the ground. "It's the fuckin' best! I love this game, goddamn."
"I had fun, too," Mia added. "Though there may have been an element of catharsis involved in watching you screw over Zoe, mi amor."
"Heh, can't say I don't deserve it. Kinda sucks for me, though. I got my itch scratched, but now I just wish I got the chance to scratch it more often, y'know? Not a whole lot of people out there willing to touch this fucker more than once."
"Actually… speaking honestly? I didn't think it was that bad."
"Wait, really?" Zoe stared at Oliver.
"Don't get me wrong, it was bad- real bad... but I don't know, I think it was a good kind of bad?"
"Well fuck me in the ass, then! Didn't think you had it in you, Olive. I'm guessing you felt that sadistic rush, too, huh? That thrill you get from fucking other people over with rampant, unchecked douchebaggery?"
"Not how I would've put it, but yeah, something like that," he laughed. "A lot of games out there try to make playing as the villain some big selling point, but this? This really made me feel like one, and that was kinda nice. I've had enough for one day, but going another round with you sometime wouldn't be the worst thing in the world."
Zoe blinked a couple of times and tilted her head. She opened her mouth to speak, but there was a delay. Her words just wouldn't come to her until she forced them out with a snide laugh.
"Better be careful what you wish for, Olive. The training wheels are popping the fuck off next time, and I ain't gonna be holding back!"

Zoe's sharp expression and angry eyes softened as she smiled, a little color rising in her cheeks. The sight made Oliver's mouth dry. Why did girls always have to be so much cuter when they lowered their guard? It wasn't fair. He already felt shallow enough, and this wasn't helping.
At least he wasn’t the only one on edge.
“So,” Mia spoke up.
Zoe turned their way, a smug expression already on her face. “Yes, Mia?”
“I believe I was promised something upon my boyfriend’s victory,”
“Were you? Hm. Weird, I can't fuckin’ remember for the life of me…”
“Not playing this game with you, perezosa,” Mia’s eyebrow twitched. “Dreamed about this ever since I learned I was into it. Can’t just yank it out from under my nose.”
“Easy, girl! I’m not yanking jackshit. I’m just saying I can’t remember what I promised. That’s all. If you were to remind me, though… well, who knows what would happen?”
“You… I… ugh, always gotta amuse yourself somehow, don’t you? Come on, mi amor. Back me up here.”
Oliver and Zoe shared a knowing glance. Not a word was spoken, but the message was clear.
Ball’s in your court, Olive.
“Come to think of it, why did we start playing?” He rubbed his chin, not missing a beat. “I feel like there was some important reason, but I’m drawing a massive blank over here…”
“Oh, you’ve got to be fucking kidding me…”
“What? If we’re forgetting something, feel free to remind us.”
“Yeah, Mia. Remind us!”
Mia's cheeks matched her bangs as her frustration boiled over. “Really gonna make me say it, huh? Not good enough for you that you get to make out with another chica; you really gotta tease me on top of it?”

“I think I got some pretty good mileage out of teasing you, yeah,” Oliver said. “Zoe?”

Just like that, Oliver’s second quest was wrapped up with a neat little bow.
Two other things stood out to him. He didn’t get a milestone for dry-humping Zoe, and her affection hadn’t gone up. He assumed the first implied sexual acts had to go until completion for them to count, while the second was a little more worrisome.
In hindsight, Oliver felt a little silly for assuming Zoe would automatically get an affection increase just because he was a good kisser. She didn’t seem like she disliked it, though, so he figured he’d have to hear what she had to say.
Mia was equally eager to learn the details and leaned across Oliver’s lap to get in Zoe’s face.
“How was he? Did you like it? Tell me everything, Zoe. Please, I'm dying to hear all about it.”
Zoe blushed even harder and gently swatted Mia away. “Christ, let a woman catch her breath, why don’t you? It was… look, I still don’t know, okay? I think I liked it, but I’d have to give it another go sometime.”

“But there’s no pressure either way. If you liked it, great. If you didn’t, that’s okay, too.” Oliver gave her a patient smile. “No one expects you to have it all figured out a few seconds after your first kiss. Sexuality is weird like that.”
“…Thanks, Olive,” Zoe returned his smile with a grin of her own, then turned to Mia. “What about you, perv? Are you happy now?”
“Sí,” Mia frowned. “Was hoping there’d be sparks, though, but I suppose that’s my fault for getting my hopes up…”
“Oh, cheer up, kitty-cat. I said I didn’t hate it, didn’t I?”
After a few seconds of silence, Mia hopped across Oliver's lap and hugged her friend as hard as her petite noodle arms could muster.
“Gah! Mia? W-What the fuck?!”
“Thank you for this, Zoe. It meant a lot...”
Zoe looked at Oliver, flustered, and found him smiling in support. The gesture was strangely comforting. It softened her up, getting her to wrap her arms awkwardly around Mia in a full embrace.
“Yeah, yeah... you don’t gotta make a big deal out of it, I’m just glad you had a good time. Maybe we really will have to give it another shot sometime?”
Mia pulled away and perked up. “...Really?”
“Sure, supposing your owner doesn’t mind,”
“Hey, I’m down for whatever so long as you’re not forcing yourself,”
“How many times do I have to say I think I kinda liked it before you guys get it through your heads?” She sighed. “You worry way too much about shit, I swear.”
“I’d rather worry too much than too little,” Oliver countered. “Especially when you’re still confused and figuring this shit out.”

Oliver smiled at the pattern that was forming. Zoe liked him more whenever he showed restraint, patience, and understanding regarding her boundaries. That worked out great for him since he didn’t have to do anything other than be himself.
“Appreciate it, but still. If I’m uncomfortable, you’ll be the first to know. Until then, try and chill out a little, okay?”
“We’re working on his chronic overanxiety,” Mia reclined, now sitting firmly on Oliver’s lap. “Among other things.”
“Maybe you should work on them back in your room, then? Not to brag, but I got his dick niiiiiice and ready for you. Wouldn’t be surprised if he goes and jizzes on your face again the second you whip it out.”
“I’m not that close, I-” Oliver paused after noticing Mia had frozen up. He couldn’t see her face, so he had to ask. “…Is she drooling?”

“I… I am not…!” Mia said, wiping up drool from the corner of her mouth.
Oliver shook his head and sighed.
It was time to get some relief and care for his needy pet. He surprised both girls by standing and hoisting Mia over his shoulder. Doing this in front of Zoe was a little embarrassing, but he masked his timidity with confidence.
Mia liked the power move, as she always did.

“Have fun,” Zoe laughed incredulously at the balls on this guy. “Oh, wait. One last thing. I’m gonna hang around out here for a while on my phone until I pass the fuck out, so try and keep it down, Mia… unless you want me to hear all the filthy fuckin’ noises you’re gonna make?”
Mia’s throat went dry as Zoe flashed her an evil grin.
”Your call, kitty-cat…”
Grateful for the assist, Oliver disappeared into Mia’s room and summoned enough courage to put a finishing touch on top of Zoe’s skillful tease. He left the door open a crack and ensured Mia saw it, ignoring her when she asked him to close it only to plop her on her bed. Zoe went and revved both of them off, Oliver physically and Mia psychologically, and now was finally time to blow off some much-needed steam.
Staring at Mia’s door, Zoe sank into the couch and sighed.

Thanks for the update! I must say, I really like these changes. I thought Zoe's exploration was hot before, but this was even better. Some editing notes: It was brutal - why is "it" in italics? she was fairly taller - tall write home about just yet. She wasn’t sure what to make of it just yet. - repetitive, remove the first "just yet"? It's just a little weirded out - I'm I haven't even kissed the fuckin' dude - they did kiss though? change to "frenched"? forcinf him - forcing I’m sure we Mia - remove "we" revved both of them off - up, not off (yet;)

If you missed it I’ve said multiple times that she’s demisexual meaning she starts feeling sexual things the more emotionally attached to someone she is. This is just establishing her starting point.

Lmao sex scenes are tricky. Positioning is easy for me to imagine as a former lewd artist so that might have something to do with it, I always make sure it makes sense in my head and I’m not swapping people around constantly without explicitly saying who’s where. I mean the whole scene is just three people on a couch with Oliver (and then Zoe) on the middle, if that’s not easy to follow along with I would feel worried for my reader lol

I like the pacing and your description is on point. What I mean is; at no point did a body position not make sense physically, or get changed unexpectedly. Last two full books I've read, great stories well developed world building and character growth... One does fade to Black, the other the sex scenes are so bad it feels like it's a completely different author. This is why I will continue to put down other books to read yours.
