🕑 Added 2024-05-25 18:14:13 +0000 UTCThis is like day five of being back on the medicine I believe and I’m starting to feel significantly more like a human again and not a shambling pile of headaches and attention span issues. I’m not going to preemptively say I’m better before I see how things go but I’m feeling well enough to try and get some work done. Just thought I’d let you all know.
Don’t read this next part if yo haven’t read the outline/don’t want spoilers as I’m going to talk about my current thoughts on the next chapter.
I’ve been thinking on it and I believe I’m going to significantly tone down the incident from what was planned. I just think it’s too much melodrama if Mia is yelling at Zoe and Rebecca ends up crying, and I can get the same results without meandering in angst. Zoe will show more resistance and instead of yelling I think it will be better if Mia just gets dejected and dismisses her. Everything else would still be as planned and I’m not saying Mia won’t still stand up for herself, I just want to dial it back a lot from the big breakdown it was in the outline where it just totally ruins everyone’s day.
We’ll see how things go.

On top of Mia not really seeming like the type to absolutely explode, she seems more the "disappointed father" type. Like she doesn't explode just expresses extreme disappointment.

I think the toning it down will actually help keep the pace that was set with the Zoe focused retroactive chapter. Like she clearly is trying to change and she feels bad. So a complete explosion would kinda ruin it and make it seem like Zoe really didn't have those thoughts of changing
