Made some progress today!
🕑 Added 2025-01-11 01:10:22 +0000 UTCI don’t want to jump the gun but I actually had a good writing session today. Things flowed well like they used to and the dialogue came out snappy and fun without much constant retuning on my end. It wasn’t a long session and I’m probably not going to do another one today so that I don’t push it and end up upsetting myself, but I did think it was significant enough to mention.
As of two days ago I’ve been trying to sleep earlier in the night and wake up at more reasonable times and today I took my antidepressant with my adderall instead of taking it at night, which is the way I used to take it. It’s probably some mix of that but I have to see if it keeps up.
Hoping this is a sign that things are getting back to normal, but for now we’ll see.

Awesome news. Glad to hear that you're moving in a good direction. I was going to suggest some alternative writing projects just to get your mojo flowing without specific expectations. Even something as dumb as asking chatgpt for a half dozen writing prompts, with the notion that getting the satisfaction of finishing something without having the precondition of making your scenes match a specific, already established voice, might make it easier to ease any subconscious performance anxiety.

That was my own choice, because I wanted to mitigate side effects while awake. Some people take them at night because of that, and the pill’s half-life is twenty hours so it shouldn’t be a big deal, but maybe it was.

The other idea is good too. World always needs more stories about healing, hence why I’m writing what I am hehe

That’s a very fun premise! Definitely lots of potential there.

But the one I want to write at the moment is a hurt/comfort title of a victim dealing with addiction and mental health issues trying to get better. That’s the scenario I chose after listening to Steven Kings book On Writing

I’ve had a few stories over the years my biggest story I’ve gotten a lot of compliments and excitement over from friends is a story about gods playing DND for the ownership of worlds, each god pulls people of creatures from their existing worlds to use as heroes to fight for them for control of the game world
