Download vamX 1.45 to choose from 3 main servers, including the new Fast Global Server. vamX 1.45 is required to open the vamX AI Chat -> AI Music area where you can generate music or discover community made music.
The AI Chat password changed on March 9th, 2025. Current subscribers can get a new password in the welcome note in the membership tab at https://www.patreon.com/vamx/membership
Virt-a-Mate has to be allowed to access the new music generation and fast global servers.
A) If you have Virt-a-Mate set to allow all sites you can skip the rest of these instructions. To allow all sites go to the Virt-a-Mate UI -> Open Main UI (three horizontal bars icon) -> Left Navigation tab -> Top Security tab -> Check "Allow All Sites".

B) If you don't have Virt-a-Mate set to allow all sites, you need to WHITELIST THE AI CHAT SERVERS in order to use the new music generation and fast global server.
You can download our whitelist_domains.json file (right click -> save link as... then put it in your VaM folder replacing the existing whtielist_domains.json).
Or you can manually open your VaM/whitelist_domains.json file (using notepad, or any simple text editor) and add the new sttservers entries to get something like:

Save the changes to the whitelist_domains.json file, then RESTART VIRT-A-MATE.

Make sure you enter the password into the correct bottom left password entry area (or into the correct vam .txt file as explained at https://sxvr.com/ai ). If you put a password in the vam .txt file before it needs to be changed. You must press Reset Chat (in the same AI Chat Web UI you entered the password) after entering the password manually.

I'm entering the latest password from March 9th and keep being told it's the wrong pw and to go find the new one

How's your internet connection, is it pretty stable? There are Save Chat and Restore Chat buttons in the web ui. If you can type in the web ui and get a response, then you can press Save Chat, then choose the same server again, then press Restore Chat. Have you tried various servers (EU & Global)?

It’s weird every time I use the AI chat and it only responds to me like 3 or 4 times and then it doesn’t respond any more, I try to reconnect or restart, still doesn’t work.

:) Many users probably stick with just clicking on the personality buttons but you can at the beginning, or at any time, scroll all the way to the top and type whatever you want. You can even then press Retry Last and see if the new response is to your liking (although before you do that, if you don't want it to switch models change the model to a specific model instead of NSFW Random AI). If you love the personality you create, copy and paste the text to a document for later use. You can also probably save and restore a single personality, or check out the standalone deepgram app for a way to make your own personalities.

can I setup the AI to be less rebel?, sometimes it goes to a discussion and it felts too real girl to me hahaha.

This means you've lost connection to the server. There are two connections that happen at the same time to the chat server: 1) The web browser 2) A socket connection for vam directly to the web server. This is what is reestablished when you press RECONNECT. This socket handles sending audio directly to Virt-a-Mate, which is what allows the person to speak it automatically and have lip sync. Try pressing the reconnect button, or take some steps to make your Internet connection more reliable if possible.

The AI chat is pretty much hit and miss, sometimes I hear the responses, sometimes times do not hear her say anything back, but see what she says on the chat browser, also no lip sync at all.

Also, it's possible to use grab and drag to move around the scene without the thumbsticks.

go to Virt-a-Mate Main UI -> Edit mode -> pointer tool to select an atom -> __vamX Plugin -> Plugins tab -> _CHOOSE_VAMX_FEATURES -> Open Custom UI... -> Uncheck _vxBool_Can_Set_Camera (10 down on the right side). Do this as soon as the vamX scene opens, before doing any camera stuff. This should also be remembered so you don't need to do this each time. This disables vamX's automatically moving the camera into good positions for various poses (which might have caused changes in axes of some internal camera component). Please let me know if this solves your issue!

Thanks...so the big issue I am having is moving around. I have Oculus quest and moving the joycon up down just goes a random direction. SO if I want to see the AI interface I cant get to it.
