I love both! Single light is good for making the forms more volumetric, but multiple lights allow for better anatomy drawing (seeing where things attach, etc)

Thank you for the comments!!! This really helps me to plan and adjust how I shoot.

I enjoy single source lighting for that dramatic effect. But if the model is well lit from multiple angles, then it’s not a problem - just need to focus more on line work and contour.

Beautiful!! I adore the first pose! Can’t wait to draw that one 🖤 I usually prefer a single main source so I can better see and practice how light falls on form…but little touches of accent lights don’t ruin it. Like a small hair or rim light is still nice as long as they don’t overpower the main source.

I prefer lighting that reveals the forms well with clear shadows and light, it adds beauty and interest to the pose. A pose that is blown out with multiple lighting arrangements is less interesting to work with for me.

Full light is good to catch details if you are the kind of artist who paint realistic. One light or any dramatic light set is usually more interesting to me. Shadows are good in my view. But probably others could disagree eheheh
