How are you all today? Usually, on social media, I am always excited to share my work, but sometimes artists experience many doubts as well. I wanted to share a little about what’s going through my painting process lately.
I’ve been doing some sketches and not feeling too happy with anything I’ve been doing. Maybe I’ve reached a point where I see flaws and mistakes in my paintings, so I want to keep correcting them. I’m unsure if I should try painting different subjects or a different medium, and I feel like I’m stuck with ideas. 🤔
I’d love to get some painting ideas, suggestions, or anything in general! ✨

I recently watched a video by Kelsey Rodriguez, and she was talking about how art is not content. I think that really resonated with me. With social media, I think artists feel pressured to constantly produce something almost every day, but art takes time, and usually, there’s a lot of thought and trial and error behind it.
I tried doing a portrait the other day, and it made me think about how it’s been so long since I’ve painted a more minor subject. It feels strange since I’ve been so used to paint larger pieces, so it was pretty refreshing to focus on one thing. I think one of the things I want to do is maybe try working with landscape orientation or just taking more time to study some of the areas I want to improve on. It's going to be a struggle at first but I'm feeling confident it will work out in the end 🤍🤍😊

I'll be shipping the ROSELLA rewards today! Unfortunately, for LUNA tier, I checked all the Porcelain Garden prints and most of the colours are off. I'm not too happy sending them to you so I am getting a replacement right away! 🥲 I'm really sorry about that! I'll send them as soon as possible!
Thanks again for your support, it really means so much to me!
Love always,
Maxine

when I’m stucked, I love to do something that brings me joy or peace. It’s often some other kind of art (I’m an interior designer) like dancing, go to a museum, listen to new music, try macramé, go to a fancy restaurant, watch a beautiful movie, walk through and park and so on ;) this often leads me to new inspiration. Sometimes your battery is just empty - but there is so much art around us, which can fill them back up easily

Thank you so much for sharing, lovely! 🥺 I'm so sorry to hear you've been experiencing the same thing! Writing goals is an excellent idea, and it will keep me motivated! I agree; I think the pressure part is what I need to let go of; instead, I should focus on developing my goals!

Aw im so sorry to hear this love! I have been going through the same thing for 3 months and it seemed so endless but for me it immediately helped when i made goals. It can be longterm or shortterm but i find it motivating when you have something to go towards instead of just doing something for others or pressure in general
