An actual explanation on my situation
🕑 Added 2023-03-07 13:15:30 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I only just realized (thru a message I got on tumblr 😅) I actually hadn't ever explained here why content slowed way down. I'm sorry for not communicating about that - I thought I had, but all I could find were vague mentions on some posts.
So uhh last year I burned out - pretty hard 😬 It wasn't the first time, in fact I think I've been in a bit of a burnout/near burnout cycle for some years. This time I just couldn't "bounce back" from it in a couple weeks like before. It was basically months of barely fathoming how to draw and being able to squeeze out maybe one drawing a month. Doing the simplest art became an insurmountable task.
And when drawing is your living, it meant times were pretty tight for a while. I didn't close the Patreon because quite frankly I needed the income from it - I should have told everyone then to not expect much, but I was also in hard denial over my situation and thinking I'll snap out of it and get everything done "tomorrow".
It's started to get better now tho! I still can't do as much or as fast as before and progress isn't linear - I can get a bunch done one day and then again nothing for a couple days - and I need to be really aware of my limits, but considering that some months ago I was seriously thinking if that was it for me as an artist, things are positively sunny right now.
So that's what's up - I burned out and couldn't get it up to art anything and now I'm learning to get back to normalcy while trying to not fuck myself up again in the process.
And a big thank you to everyone who's stuck around regardless 🖤 There are actual art posts incoming soon ie they're actually in progress now lol

As someone who has also suffered a burnout I wish you nothing but the best. Take your time to rest, I think anyone here understands that you need time to heal. Good to hear you are doing better and hopefully day by day you will start to regain your strength❤️
