Epilogue
🕑 Added 2023-08-31 01:16:37 +0000 UTCI'm working my way through the various Epilogue shots now, giving the GPU something to do as I clean up the final events. I've got 3 more daily events to do, and then some optional side content, and... it's done. Hope to have the final release out in September.
I started Love of Magic almost exactly 4 years ago, as a little free game that I was putting out to recharge creatively and use as an excuse to learn Daz3D.
It's gotten a little bigger than that since.
So... what's next?
Well, first of all I'm returning to Morningstar, and completing Act II.
After that I'll be looking at NG+ for Love of Magic; going back to Book 1, shifting over some of the optimizations and improvements I've done over the three years since it was released, and setting it up so you can start a new Book 1 save, using some of the data from Book 3's final savegame. It would start you with improved stats and resources, all your gems, but more importantly it would unlock additional gameplay moments, depending on choices made in Book 2 & 3. This is of course inspired by Persona, which was one of the original touch-stones for the game.

Its sad to see Love of Magic ending, but I know that Morningstar will be just as good if not better. Can't wait to see how the story will unfold in Morningstar

So, it will soon be time I put myself down to do a marathon :-), at the end of the day, I supported since years ago (before COVID), and I have not played in almost maybe two years (book 2 was still at the start). Great work !

I can’t believe it’s almost finished. I am so excited but at the same time sad that it will be over. I am looking forward to seeing how Morningstar develops. It’s been an amazing adventure.

Now, *most* of the dialogs won't change. There'll be little single line entries, and there'll be additional scenes, but I'm not fully *rewriting* the game. Instead, there'll be people you know from Book 2 or 3 showing up at the Crowley at night, like Mab or The Morrigan, or Cu. Or additional scenes with some of the characters that see a lot (like the Musician).

I'm intrigued about the replay possibilities by allowing a book 1 new playthrough where the MC is something more than the greenest magic user in LOM. I'm already invested in Morningstar and looking forward to more regular content as well. Thanks for the wonderful stories you are sharing with us!

Book 3 has a number of events looking forward into that, the encounter with the Three, the talk with the Musician, meeting The Morrigan, etc.
