On looking at it closer, I think the main thing that caught me off guard was the changing the background between panels straight from the sepia to black. Not sure the best way to make it flow better, but I think that might be all it is.

Especially with the older pages the organization of the comic pages can make it really hard to read through. Since you're reposting could hyperlinks be added potentially? Patreon has gotten actively more difficult to navigate page-by-page in the last year or so, and the original postings of these earlier pages are often next to impossible for me to find, which makes re-reading hard. Especially since both of your comics are fairly long form it might just help things overall to start with that earlier into reposting it.
