I think Lars has a familial connection to a psychic; perhaps an abuelita or a sister? The ethics of this are obviously personal to him, and he seems like his loyalties are tied very closely to his family. Interested to see how his connection unfolds. Also, I understand his purpose in the narrative but Jesus effing Christ, Eli is by FAR the most unlikeable character in any of your stories I've ever read. He's becoming so insufferable that I regret him getting as much screen time as he does. Remaining hopeful he'll have SOME kind of redemptive story arc, because we're approaching the threshold where even the most Tragic Backstory would not change my opinion of him.
