Progress Update Sept. 9th 2023

We've been sailing bullshit free since the last release, and this one is coming along fantastic. This chapter of Borne of Caution is at 4k words as of today, and I expect it to be ready in the next 3-4 days. After that is another Borne of Caution.
Also, I've been dabbling in stable diffusion a bit during the last week (Big thanks to Arca in the discord server for the quick-start rundown). It's an interesting, if finicky thing. Most of what I generate is clumsy and kinda bad, but a few decent things have popped up like the attached pic. (Call the picture sus if you must. I admit the program really wants to spit out porn, so I added "Safe for work" to make it clean up results) If I can get good enough, then my stories going forward might have the occasional illustration to go with them. Anything I make won't be as good as actual art, and I don't want a bad image or debates about AI images to sour a chapter, so it's all a big "maybe".

Couple people have been asking if you’re alive or ok and while i’m sure 99% of people would be asking that at least partly out of genuine concern i imagine it probably sounds impatient, so just as a reminder remember that you’re in the driver’s seat and should work at your own pace!

The art is nice but i never thought your stories were missing something without art, however the occasional piece may be nice. Just need to take care as i've seen too many horrifying ai art used in adds that clearly didnt have a human check before use.

Here to put my two cents in with my dislike for AI art. I personally would be sad to see it included in the stories. Your writing is good enough to stand on its own! :)

It's slightly sus but it's almost a good sacrifice for the intelligent look. Perhaps your could attempt to use realism tags in conjunction with cartoony tags to add more of a separation between the uncanny sus and the fierce and beautiful. Perhaps think about it in terms of how the program thinks about it? "Blank look" or "unfiitting expression" might help- depending on what you're going for. Idk though I've never messed with stable diffusion. Also "epic" and or "mythical" and "mysterious" Idrk though just throwing thoughts out there.
That Ninetales pictures is looking kind of sus.
