The thing is, its not about power is it? Its a moral issue. Society tells us that adults can make decisions and know the consequences / risks in full. Teenagers dont. I get that it does not make for exiting reading but it is realistic.

Gotta say Lee's overprotectiveness is growing old and stale. Let's bring an example real quick at the volcano if Brendon wasn't there Lee would have FAILED EVERYTHING he would have been killed by Maxxie and even if he miraculously pulled through to defeat Maxxie he would have then lost to the Team Magma grunts and Admins and the machine would've succeeded since Archie was distracted with the mega battle. Brendon beat the admins (taking her balls before battle and just straight up beating the other) and destroyed the machine. I will be surprised if Brendon decides not to leave the group after this. Being treated like a child even though he is just as strong as the Mc and that same person not trusting him to have his back is stifling.
