Sketchbook (PAGE 3)
🕑 Added 2024-08-07 21:27:01 +0000 UTCPetra the civet kinda steals the show here. I was still exploring her as a character and trying to get inside her head. We have the initial sketches for "Coffee and Wifi", which I intended as a pun on Blur's "Coffee and TV" and the song fits the mood I was going for pretty well.
I've lived with recurrent depression since I was about 12 years old, and at the time of drawing this I was going into a fairly severe and lengthy struggle with it. Some of this is just my brain's natural tendencies, and some of it was learning lessons about investing too much into toxic relationships. I don't like using the word "toxic" because it's annoyingly vague and dismissive, but in this case I think it fits just fine. Vent art doesn't generally give me a lot of satisfaction, but Petra proved to be a pretty good conduit, insofar as I'd allow her to be.

Soft forms and some great breast squishing! I also see some of that hedgehog gal!

Yeah, it might not be “curable”, but it’s very treatable. (Also I confused Petra with Mazia, whoops)

Toxic is the worst... unless you're the one dishing it out x3 Love open jackets and I have a few such Juno sketches that I may get around to finishing.

I've been asked by a furry publisher if I was interested in such a project... so this may happen!

It's meant the world to me to know I'm not alone in this. Hearing that others have long-term depression, and that life goes on, has been intensely normalizing. It really doesn't have to determine my fate.

Very cool to see! Bring back the viverrid girl gang 😛.

Love these!!

So many incredible little sketches and poses! I always appreciate the open jacket design I can see on the top left. Sorry to hear you’ve dealt with that since you were young. Although, when I see the word toxic, I think of pokemon and the frustrations of getting poisoned.

Very nice work. I enjoy seeing your sketches

lovely sketches! You ever planning to make an art book like Scale did with his book?

Petra’s my favorite character of yours, so I love seeing more art of her! I absolutely relate to you with chronic depression - it’s a lot to work with and can feel like it’s not getting better.
