Blaidd Pinup(I'm Back!)
🕑 Added 2023-02-01 15:53:32 +0000 UTCHello everyone! Sorry for the absence lately. I was recovering from burnout while also looking for part time jobs as a food service worker(no luck yet :') but I have a food handler's certificate now!).
I was really unhappy with the quality of my comics for the past few months. I could tell that I was stagnating, and that made me really insecure about my art. So I stepped away from my work for a bit and studied different artists for the time being. I also took to playing DDR to help keep my body moving and take my mind out of the gutter ^^ it really helps a lot.
I always try to make my lines and color look as clean as possible, but I think that was the reason why I couldn't keep improving as fast as I wanted to. So for this drawing of Blaidd, I allowed myself to not think about being perfect, and instead I learned to enjoy the process. This is definitely going to be the direction I'll be taking for drawing the cover pages for the comics. It feels loose and I was having a ton of fun with it ^^.
I'm going to explore this different way of coloring, and translate that into my comics. That also means I'll most likely redo the OrcTwins x Hector and Blaidd x Tarnished minicomic :(. So it'll take awhile until you guys will be seeing updates for those comics again. But I hope that you'll enjoy this new iteration much more. Until then, expect to see some comic updates in two weeks. Thank you again for all your guys' support and patience!
(Also, I added a little preview for the BlaiddxTarnished comic, they're still very rough sketches but I hope you look forward to it!)
