PSA: How to find stuff on Patreon and what will happen after Delvers 3

Yeah that is what I'm kind of leaning towards. I just really like all the comments you guys leave and I hate the idea of hiding them. :/ But another issue that this would mitigate is that Amazon demands only 10% of any book on Kindle Unlimited be available anywhere else. Some writers figure that Patreon is a good way to prevent Amazon from seeing what they're doing, but it kind of seems dangerous to play with your livelihood like that if you're a full time writer.

It's completely fair and a good idea for you to take down the chapters once the book is published. It's not like you charge a lot for the books, and they are edited to be better than what you do incrementally. Also you're right, it discourages people from buying the final books if they can just read the rough drafts online. Us Patreon people get to read it as you write it, and they get sent to our emails anyway also. I would just keep up a few chapters of book one maybe (although the book version) so that people could get a free preview.

I think that this is a good idea. Patreon is more for those, like me, who are too eager than to wait for your next book to finish or for the awesome ppl here to help polish your ideas or edit small mistakes. Once a book is done, leaving it here would only encourage ppl to pay 2$ a month to read your entire manuscript which is unfair to you

I actually do all the developmental editing myself. I mostly get editing for consistency and grammar. I hear you about older chapters. I'm definitely not entirely sure what to do.

I'm assuming you use a processional copy editor? Either way Obligations Incurred was better as an ebook, and Luck Stat Strategy was like a completely different book. The plot was the same but the character depth was much better in the published version. That being said I was kinda assuming the rough drafts would be here "forever". I like having what's basically a behind the scenes look at how your novels come together.

I would like to see them up at least a month after the book is live.

Yes, unless someone can give me some convincing arguments why I shouldn't. Now, the caveat to all this is that I'm going full time soon, and playing around with the idea of starting a forum on my site. There would be a Patreon patrons only forum there where nothing would ever be deleted. This is the most logical compromise I can think of, but I am open to suggestions.

Does this mean that once a book is released its chapters will be unavailable to patrons unless we buy it?

Makes sense to me. I just wanted to read passed the book 2 cliff hanger. As soon as Jeff reads your book I'll be picking that up because he's awesome. And after that patrons still get to read the upcoming book, i think its super jazzy.
