Hey folks!
I'm taking off a couple days to handle personal stuff because I've been all-in with work for a while. Realistically, I'll probably go back on this within 24 hours, but sometimes I need to pretend to have a life. :P
First Song 2 should be done in...5 days...ish. Several chapters will probably all come out at once.
Speaking of First Song, for folks who have been reading, what do you think about the Unaleshi now? What about Kahlek? I'm curious to hear your feedback.

Take the time you need to sharpen your saw. Writing fatigue does no one good. The Unaleshi are very relatable, I can easily see how humanity could become like the Unaleshi under similar circumstances. They are still a scary opponent for humans, but the reasoning and internal politics of the Unaleshi does lead me to believe that some of them will be sympathetic allies to the humans.

I think you're doing a great job creating characters that we fear when not understood and, in at least one case, pity when they become better understood. Not to say they're not worthy of lit napalm enemas, mind you, but the change in perspective is impressive. Oh, and enjoy your time away from the keyboard!
